Sophie is now over 6 months and we still have the biting issue.   I cant seem to play with her without her biting.  I feel terrible cause I want to play with her, and I want her to have fun playing,  but her playing always ends up in biting my hands, and pulling on my clothes.  We have tried everything everyone suggests but it just doesnt seem to sink in.  We do the time out and she is good when she comes out but only for about 5 minutes and she starts all over again.  So back to time out it is.  The other night she was in time out 5 times and finally after the last time she layed down and slept.   The high pitched ooch type thing doesnt work, when i do that she starts to frap.   Is there still hope that she will out grow this in time, or should I  be worried that she doesnt seem to catch on that it is not an exceptable behavior.  She is so smart and quick to catch on to everything else.

Have you been through any classes with her? If nothing seems to be working I would invest in a trainer.

I don't know how to find it but Beth had difficulty with her corgi Jack and did outline in a previous post how she was able to train him. Check with her. I used a very dramatic, high pitched screech and then a time out if it was unsuccessful.

I cured Ellie's biting by firmly (but not too hard) grabbing her snout and saying (in a I-mean-business) tone of voice "NO BITE".  It worked within a day or two.  It's hard to be gruff with them, but they need guidance and discipline just like children.
