Mine have several quirks, but the one I find most amusing is Koda sitting on his rear legs only, with his front legs off the ground. Please share your stories and pictures! :)

Our Bob-tailed corgi does this but the docked tailed Corgi can't. It sure is cute when they do sit like this  though :)

you know, i was thinking "oh, machete is so little still and we've only had him a month so i don't know his habits enough for anything to be super funny yet"

but, one we just discovered as the weather is slowly, slowly warming up, is that he prefers to do his business on snow vs. grass or dirt.

all those weeks spent cursing the snow and wishing it away, and now we're wondering what we're gonna do when it all melts and the pup can't find a patch to go on!

LOL! Mine RARELY see snow here in TX! The few times they have seen it (before it melted within hours) they bite at it and FRAP like crazy!!

Koda has had such a huge personality since he first opened his eyes and was able to crawl around. He is super smart and continues to amaze me. I hadn't planned on keeping him, but soooooo happy I did!! Here he is pictured (on the right) chewing on my fingers with his sister as a very young pup.

Awwwwwe, you HAVE to get video and post it. Thats sounds adorable :)

Aww.. how cute!  One of my Ella's funny habits is she runs to her crate to eat.  When she was a pup, we had to keep her crated alot because my shepherd didn't like her.  Now they are inseperable but because she always ate in her crate, she still runs to it every time it's time to eat!  Every morning I give her a small treat in her dish and if I don't she will just stand there and look at me and not eat her food until she gets one.  They sure are smart!

I have always crate trained my dogs also. When Koda was little and I decided to keep him (He is a puppy from my male and female) I would bring his crate into my bedroom at night. He would cry and cry. Every pup I have had in the past would cry and then stop and be done with it. Koda would cry and never stop. I was tired of losing sleep so just decided to let him have free run of the house at night. From the very first night, he would go to sleep in my bathroom on the tile, and would get up and go to the puppy pad in the kitchen in the middle of the night. He is fine being crated now when necessary, but he was pretty much potty trained from the moment I gave him a chance and has had free run of the house since he was about 8 weeks old! You are definitely right! ...They really are very smart!

Ever since I taught Loki to "play dead," he now does it ALL the time because it never fails to make me laugh. He knows that laughing mom = mom more inclined to give out treats! He'll be running around one moment, and then he will just FLOP right on his side. It's so, so adorable. I really need to take a photo/video of it!

LOL! OMG you should!!

I feel sorry for Koda... His mom and dad know all sorts of tricks... I just havent really worked with him too much... he knows how to 'sit'... only bc thats what mom and dad do and he just follows along... LOL

Bogart likes to take a pine cone along when we are out walking.  Either picks one up on the way out (and of course drops it after a while) or on the way home, and leaves it by the front door for "later."

Awwwwe! That is too cute and funny! :)

Our male Ryno is a nester.  He has to have either a big blanket or several small baby blankets.  A pillow will work as an alternate.  He fluffs it with his paws, pushes it with his nose, jumps on it, backs up and moves it.  It is hilarious.  His "sister from the same mister" Wrigley believes there is some type of demon living in our leather couch.  She will dig in between the cushions, growling and talking to it.  Ryno also complains loudly "Wookie noises" when Wrigley gets attention.  If you greet her and give her pets he stands and talks to us telling us why we should be petting him instead.

Sometimes it is hysterical wondering what they are thinking. When it is wet or cold outside I leave a blanket on the kitchen floor for the pups. One night I couldnt find Bandit anywhere... until I realized the suspicious bump in the bunched up blanket in the kitchen was him! LOL He had completely wrapped himself into a tight little ball inside it!
