I have made an appointment for milly to visit the chiropractor on  monday.  I feel that there is more I can do for her than sit and wait . Today she was a little slow to sit down and her neck seemed sore  this could be from her recent limping . I'd like to hear about your experiences with this type of treatment and your corgis. Any advice is appreciated :)

I don't have any personal experience with chiropratic for dogs but I have heard many good things.  When Max developed IVDD in his neck I choose to go with acupuncture and that I can highly recommend.  I started him with that almost 4 years ago and at this point he has not had a treatment in over a year, both the vet and I are more than happy.

Please keep us posted on how Milly is doing.  Prayers good success for her.

Teddy went to a people chiropractor due to him holding his head crooked after a severe ear infection. We went back a week later and she could tell how much better Teddy was doing(she showed me how to do this). We went back a 2nd time and she said I was doing just fine and didn't have to return. He loves the massage and I still do this every few days. It did help!!!!!!

I take Amelia about every 3 weeks to the chiropractor. She is also taking a herbal supplement to help with blood flow since her problem is muscular. Amelia is an agility dog and had an injury in September of 2014. The chiropractor helps ALOT and keeps her back in shape. It takes a few sessions to help depending on the severity of the injury.

Angie's post reminded me that Max is also on an herbal supplement, twice a day that I mix into his food.  I am just so impressed with all the things they do today to help our 4 legged family members.

I wouldn't hesitate to try chiropractic care, acupuncture just happened to be the first thing that was suggested to me so that's the route I went.

Thanks! Milly is on supplements as well. Chiropractic care is the first alternative treatment I could arrange so we will try. I had acupuncture in the past with great success and wouldn't hestitate to try that as well but there doesn't seem to be anything near me. Looking forward to tomorrow although a little nervous too. tHe last few days she's been back to normal and wondering why I won't let her play with her big ball :). Few more non limping days then we'll see!
Ein goes to massage once a month. We started as part of her recovery after an acl tear. It took a couple sessions but now she relaxes into it. I like that it can identify problems early and identify if she has ouchy spots that I then work on with stretches at home.

I tried a people chiro that also did dogs with limited success.  We now have found a vet chiropractor who we visit every 5-6 weeks..more if there is a particular problem.  We compete in agility and Murray's shoulders get a work out so I just want to make sure I do the best for him.  She is good at finding elusive sore spots.  Murray loves going.  He collapses into a little puddle and sometimes makes it hard for her to work on.  :-)

Good to hear all the positives! We had a first session yesterday. She was good last evening and happy during her appointment. This morning there was some limping which was a little disconcerting since she hasn't limped in a week. He did say she may be tired or off a bit today. She is definitely off but it's raining too so she is usually more withdrawn. There was a break in the rain and we had a nice walk :). We go back Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Good luck! Chiro adjustments can take a while to help. Amelia started in December and she's still making progess. My vet also prescribed  Chase wine penetrate bone as a supplement to help with blood flow.

I'm happy to hear she was good during the adjustment.  I would agree with Angie, it may take a while especially depending on how long she has had the problem. I had chiro treatments years ago and I know it took a number of treatments.
