Azathioprine(Imuran) Any Experience?

One of the last meds available for my Corgi (Joey) will be Azathioprine...has anyone used it?
Dr.suspect pemphigus and biopsied last week. So far Little Joey (9yrs, 9mo)is taking 1)Tetracycline 2)Niacinamide 3) Methylprednisone and from my other (holistic) vet 4) colostrum.
Joey's eye margins crust, bleed and cover with mucus. A year ago it was bleeding footpads which the pred seemed to control.
Joey has the heart of a corgi, wants to play, wants to run but is really out of strength to do them.

I'm soo sorry your pup is going through all this. I am heartbroken for you. I know that in most cases it helps a lot. It usually takes a little while for you to notice the results of the medication. Here is a couple sites about the medication. The first one you just click close windows to get to the information without entering your email. I hope this helps. Make sure you wash your hands after handling the medication.
