We are adopting an adorable tri girl and are trying to find a name. We like Daphne, Elsie or Elsa. Our favorite name is Clementine but it seems to long, and clemmy or tine sound kinda dumb. Any Ideas? We like old fashion names, welsh names, anything interesting...cities, plants...
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I've always like Raelin you could call her Rae-Rae. My Mom just named her puppy Landy which is also kinda cute. congrats on your new pup!!
Oh I thouhgt of another since since you live in the Northwest you could call her Rainy so every time you call her the neighbors will think your upset about the weather again.... He-He.....
We have a Rainy...her real name is Rhiannon as for Queen's reign...even my vet thought that was creative after asking how we came up with the name!
Awh, I feel like we all have these funny nicknames for our babies! I just recently bought my first Corgi On January 10th! Her name is Annie, and don't ask why, but her nick name is nanners. hahaha.
You could go with Clementine and call her Mentie for short, (like Minty?) I don't know.
Oh, you can call her Tiny too. :)
I call mine Tiny!
We named our boys after Welsh towns. Chepstow is the town that my husband use to live in and Tenby is a beautiful seaside resort. Find a Welsh map and look at all the great names. For our next corgi's we have already picked Reska and Talbot. People always ask us where we got the names. Great welsh names for great welsh dogs.
Here are some cities I thought might work for you!

Beaver bottom, KY
Zoe, KY
bumble bee, AZ
I like names like Maple, Ivy... corgi's are sweet dogs who love the outdoors. So natural names fit well.

Also what ever you do, dont name your dog "dog" or "pig" or "cow". My grandfather did and the dog ran off one day. He went all over calling out, "here cow", "you stupid cow", neighbors thought that he was yelling at his wife..... it was hilarious!!! But all the same I would not do it. We wanted to name Morgan Placibo because he is like borthcontrol. He sleeps inbetween us, he wont allow us to sit next to eachother on the couch. But it is not easy to explain to people, especially kids, so it is one of his nick names.

Maple, Ivy, Lilly, Rose, Rowan, Rosemary, (pepper for a blue merle)
Rowan is one of my very favorite girl names. Good call!
Avoid diminutive or condescending names. We named a cat Grub once 'cause she looked like a caterpillar as a kitten, but I think this was a mistake: it was a diminishing name and may have become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
So I like human first names; that reminds us that dogs are people too, in their way.
