I am looking for a book which will guide me on raising the pup well without bad habits, and  tips and tricks. i have seen the ceasar millan book on raising a puppy and i was wondering if any of you have these books and any thoughts you have on them.

Thanks,

A lovely book written by Patricia Connell titled "The Other End of The Leashe" goes through human/canine interactions, while it's not a training book it offers alot of good insite's on how to build a loving and trusting relationship with your canine friend =)
There is also a little magazine called Dog Wise that you can subscirbe to that has alot of great info. in it...it's not like the dog magazine's that you find in stores there are no advertisment or glossy pictures just good info.
I gave the wrong name oops..=)...It's called the Whole Dog Journal
I just looked up the Whole Dog Journal, and they have online articles as well. Definitely some great information on the site. I will probably end up signing up for the magazine, as it looks like a good read.
Congrats on your "soon to be" new addition!
try this one, i loved it!!!

Superpuppy: How to Choose, Raise, and Train the Best Possible Dog for You

I love the Whole Dog Journal also...it's a monthly dog paper as Christy said without all the ads. It has many great articles from food evals to training. I highly recommend it! Also a book or Magazines just about corgis is great...I have several!
I got Ceasars On how to raise a puppy, book a couple weeks before we got Adora (my first dog). And it was a big help it covers from ]picking out the right pup/dog all the way to teenage rebellion and covers vaccinations, crate training, house braking, leash training, reading body language/behaviors, basic training and much much much more. If you asking how that can all fit in one book and be helpful, well it is simple using common sense for human and dog and right to the point. I couldn't of lived with out it. And Adora wouldn't of turned out so great if it wasn't for that book. It covers EVERY THING. It gave me us an understanding and eased a lot of my concerned and has great tips that just make common sense yet you wouldn't think of it if you where just in the heat of the moment. I then bought it for my sister when she got her second dog, and man did it make a difference her second was more of a terror then her first at first but has turned into a all around great dog and way better behaved that her first, and it is helping her deal with her first dogs bad behaviors as well.
Patricia McConnell is great! But even more basic areThe Puppy Primer (that's the one that is given out in her puppy classes as well), and Family Dog Training> I could be wrong about the name of the second one, but it's close.
