Somebody has been playing in my backyard, and in my house, who is it??
I wanted to bring Lance over to my sisters house with me while she will be out of town. She has one pug, who Lance has met and one Lab mix, who is 14 weeks, but Lance has not met yet.
The dogs will not be at her house, when I am thinking of bringing Lance over. Will this cause my sisters dogs to fight, when they come back home to their house.
The puppy Kit, also likes to bury dog bones in the backyard as well. I would think as long as the other dogs aren't there that wouldnt be an issue. If they were going to be there, Im not so sure I would want all the dogs in the bacyard with the buried bones, Lance Im sure would smell them and think they were his!
So is it a bad idea to bring Lance over to my sisters house without her dogs being there and without being introduced to Kit first as well. The reason I would like to bring Lance with me is because she has a fenced in yard and I thought Lance would enjoy that seeing our yard is not fenced in yet.

hmmmm ..... not sure how that will effect your sisters dogs. But I'd be interested in hearing what actually did happen after you've been there. I'm thinking they'll probably just sniff around and then get on with it!

I'd do it. I don't believe they would fight! They may sniff around and try to figure out where the smell is coming from! Have fun!

My guess is there shouldn't be any problem, Lance may mark over the dog's scent, and the dogs will do the same when they get home :) I'm sure they can smell Lance's scent when they get back.

Have YOU met both dogs? Because if you have, then they already "know" Lance's scent. If they smell him in the yard, they will "know" that the dog they smell on you was there.
Regardless, I don't think it would be a big problem. It might cause curiousity when they return, but nothing more.

Of course Lance would be thrilled to have some playmates as well when the timing is right. Here is Marcus the pug and Kit the lab mix, who is 14 weeks:
