My dogs always go in and out the dog door when I'm downstairs running, and today they brought in a knuckle bone that somebody had dropped into our yard.  We are surrounded by all neighbors, and have a fenced in yard.  I'm not sure who did it, but we get along with everyone around us.  Still, I know in the past in our area there have been dogs poisoned by people placing laced food into the yard.  So remember to check your yards frequently to make sure the fur babies don't get into any trouble!!

Great post Jen! One of our member's corgi was poisoned TWICE last year. Be kind to your neighbours.

WOW...that's scary! Glad you noticed!!!!

thank you for posting. that is a scary to think someone would poison someones pet! i have a very close yard with my neighbors as we pretty much share the fences and my neighbors are not that friendly:(

One of my neighbors asked us if they could give Frosty milkbones on occasion as they walked past the fence.  I said sure, he'd love that.  3 days later I notice Frosty eating something by their side of the fence, but it is gone when I get there.  2 days later, Frosty comes up to me with a t-bone steak bone!!!  I go over to talk to my neighbors.  They had just started dumping ALL of their meal scraps over our fence for Frosty to eat!!!  I was like NO, NO, NO!!!  Only milkbones people!!!  They are super, super nice great neighbors, but seriously folks, how does "yes you can give my dog a milkbone every now and then" translate into "please dump all your food scraps into my yard everyday for my dog to eat"???!!!

o wow, i cant believe they would just give him table scraps like that! that makes no sense like you said. good thing u caught it before he ate something worse than that
