Cindi,
I'm getting all kinds of suggestions. It looks like we in for a long haul with these corgis but worth it. One person said bath, followed by cream rinse, then outside with the meanest and baddest hair dryer available and blow dry against the coat. For the most part, most feel a bath does the trick for awhile. I just don't understand why all the hair when it's freezing out. She just jumped off my lap and while up there, I was pulling gobs of hair out from her neck area an depositing it in the trash can.
My fluff, Jon, has been blowing coat here in VA, too. I don't know how he has any undercoat left, but just yesterday, I brushed a large puppy out of him. Thought it might have been our Indian summer in October, but that was two months ago and now it's COLD outside. (btw - Dewi is barely shedding.) What a hairy mess my house is.
Elizabeth,
Your email caused me to laugh out loud...and my Betty, too. Just returned from the post office and on the trip home, had the car window open and was pulling hair from around her neck and dumping it out the window. Now, in CA where I used to live the only thing you can dump onto the highways is water and feathers from live birds, so would I be in violation of the vehicle code there from dumping Corgi fur on the highway? Hmmm...good question.
Well, I suppose if it blew into someone's car window and they accidentally inhaled it or something.... :)
I mentioned to my daughter before disposing of Jon's "puppy" in the trash that someone might be able to spin thread with it and knit a purse. Eww!
