Badger Needs a Home

4-5 year old Pure Bred Male Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Neutered, house trained, great with kids & cats.

Adoption through Wyoming Dachshund Rescue

but he is being fostered here in Denver (80212).

He was given up by a family in Wyoming because he would not stay inside an unfenced yard….

Call Sean at 303 827 4956 if you would like to meet Badger

or better yet give him a home!

Home visit and adoption fee ($200) apply. He is a great dog and deserves a great home.

Awww!
I wonder if he'd like 25 acres to run around on?  And what about being a house dog most of the time?
Amy - can you adopt me?  - But seriously 25 acres does sound wonderful but he was given up for being a wanderer - I have had no issues with him sticking by my side but you would need to work with him a little maybe. And as to being a house dog - my goodness - he loves to be next to you for love - couch and a movie and cuddles and he is happy. i would keep this dog in a heartbeat but we have a full house....
Thanks, Sean.  Badger fits my needs/wants - male, past the puppy stage and a house dog.  What would be the procedure?  I don't travel far, but I've read you can have them transported for a fee, of course.  Also, what paperwork would be involved?  I just sent in my application to Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Rescue last week which covers Michigan.  But I'm willing to do more applications:)  As far as him going outside by himself, I didn't let MaGuire (my late Corgi) go without me.  I learned from experience that I needed to put him on a leash if we walked to the mailbox.  I have found "cookies" (dog biscuits) to be very helpful in getting them to do what you want - Bribery!!  LOL!!  Any information about Badger and the process of adoption you can give me would be great.
Ok, just talked with my Vet about how to get Badger to Michigan.  They know of many dogs traveling by air.  I'm not aware of the cost, but the airport (Pellston, MI) is 10 minutes away.  Also, I forgot to ask - do you have someone in my area who would be able/willing to do the home inspection?  I was told by the Lakeshore Pembroke people that location was not a issue with them.  Perhaps one of their people could do it??  If you know of someone I could contact, I will.  Maybe someone on this site has that information??  Thanks for all your help and we'll see how it turns out:)
I was talking with the rescue group and they are still researching transportation - they have had success before on long trips but have never coordinated a trip to Michigan - I will let you know if we get any further.

Thank you for letting me know.  If there is anything I can do on this end, please feel free to advise me.  I'm still very interested.  I miss having my companion (Corgi) so much!!

I have a lot of cousins who live in Colorado and they come back to Michigan on occasion.  If needed, I could check with them.  One is a pilot, but I'm not sure what airline he is with.  So, that might be an option.

Could you give me a little more background on Badger - like what you know about his health, habits, etc.??

OH...I wish I could rescue all these sweet corgis and give them a home! He is sooo handsome...I hope Amy can take him!
I'd be interested also, but i'm in California.. :-(

oh what a FACE!! I'm outside of Denver but live in 1-pet-rule home currently.

Yay Amy!!! Badger is one lucky (corgi) dude!

Badger found a home close to Denver - I tried to find transport to Michigan but could not - we did get a dog to Canada but couldn't get transport within the US...oh well -thank you all for your interest though....

I will be getting two more in a Pembroke female 18 month (owner has MS and could not cope) and a 6 month old Cardigan (too much energy for older owners) - give me a heads up if you know anyone who is interested and I will give them first bite.

Well, I was hoping, but I'm glad Badger has a home.  Thank you for your attempts to get him to Michigan.  It must not be quite the "right" time for me to have a Corgi, but I haven't given up.  Still looking for a guy Corgi who is a year old and a Pembroke:)  He will be a tribute to MaGuire!!!
