Miss "Lilly " Pad of Forest Hill is a dream that has come true.

Lilly, is a 17 week old tri color Cardign Welsh Corgi. She weighs 16 pounds She has a sister, Winnie (jack russell terrier), who is 12 years her senior. Her brother, Luke (Boston terrier), is only six years older. It was quite an adjustment for the older dogs, but Lilly has charmed them both. Luke is her playmate and Winnie 'oversees' her dog training.

Ears

Her breeder taped her ears and gave us directions to continue the taping until the ears remain erect. After 2 weeks removed tape, ears remained upright for about 2 days and then they began to droop. I have retaped,but it has not been very successful. Any suggestions?


After reading the comments about Petsmarts classes, I am going to sign us up.

Great Big Thanks

Lilly and I want to thank everyone for your encouragement and thoughtfulness. I am happy to say that she is so much better!!! It was very scary and even after she came home, the recovery has been slow but steady. It has been only in the last 2 days that the 'old Lilly' has emerged. She has one more day on the bland, bland dog food and then she will be able to eat her usual.

Surprisingly though - even with all the trauma to her system, she only lost 1 pound. Youth was on her side. I a!so… Continue

In looking for photos of my Corgis before Lucy, I found drawings from a great Corgi breeder on ear taping. If you are still looking for advice in this area I would be happy to scan the 2 pages and email them to you. They worked for Rookie. : )

i know how to change it:). when u go to your profile click the profile picture already displayed and it should say "change picture" click it and then it will show the little black camera at the top of all the info you put on your profile, i hope this helps!

Thanks for the note! I have decided on a cardigan, I had a hard time deciding! I picked more by the breeder than the breed. I clicked better with the cardi breeder. (not saying anything bad about the pem breeder, she was quite nice and her pups where beautiful.) But when I visited the cardi breeder last fall he had a litter, and they where all so snuggly and I really liked his socialization process. He even has chickens for the pups to get used to! I am just waiting for the next litter.
