I would call the doggie slumber party a success! Lance had his pug cousin Marcus over since Thursday and just left on Saturday afternoon. They had a great time playing. It was so nice that they could play and settle down once told to do so. They like to play rough it seems, but that could just be my interpertation. Boys will be boys I guess. Towards the end of the stay Marcus was a bit tired as he is used to sleeping the majority of his day away. :O I think I am going to have Marcus come over more often if it is possible, like maybe once a week.

It did concern me though that Marcus did not want to eat his kibble. I eventually got him to eat by putting his food on the floor with no bowl, something my sister started. He used to eat a food that came in bar form since he was a pup, so never had to eat out of a bowl!! He now eats kibble and seems a bit confused. I think that when he is over I am just going to cave to putting the food on the floor even though I dont want to. I am sooooo not used to eating problems since Lance devours his food the second he is allowed to eat.

Marcus and Lance resting after playing:

This is after a hard days play, Lance was upstairs and Marcus was resting peacefully in the basement with me:

Lance guarding the basement where Marcus and I were after a hard days play:

Just as I thought they were out for the night, Lance wakes up and comes downstairs to find Marcus sleeping in his bed!!! So he wakes Marcus up and they start running around. I guess Lance wanted to prove to me he could still play, since he had a slight limp and had me worried!!! He ended up being fine, I think they just over played a bit!!

Glad it was a success! They look very satisfied with their fun.
Yes I think they also were satisified with their play, I think poor Marcus went home exhausted!!!
Awwww, so fun to see them! I love the coloring on Lance's back! That probably would be great if they could play 1 time a week and would keep Marcus from sleeping alot also!
Thanks Jane!
Whenever I see pictures of Lance, I think he has about the most striking coloring of any dog I have every seen. He is gorgeous!

Glad to hear they had such a grand time. Maddie does not seem to like pugs. LOL When they make that snuffling noise, she seems a bit alarmed.
Thanks Beth! I would have to agree with Maddie, pugs make some very alarming noises, LOL. You should hear Marcus when he thinks someone is at the door, its a high pitch shrieking noises, enough to give anyone a heart attack!!!! I will take Lances piercing bark over that any day.
I wish I could have a play date for Duncan, he seems to like other dogs as long as they aren't bigger than him. But, alas, the chow/corgi mix we took about 4 years ago, doesn't not like strange dogs around her. That's what was so funny when we got her. She paid little or no attention to Duncan, so imagine our surprise, when we tried to have a neighbor dog over for a play session with Duncan, she got very aggressive. Has to be the chow in her being so territorial, but I wouldn't trade her for the world. But, Duncan seems happy with the frapping they do about twice a day, and the best part is now that Chloe will start the frapping, where when we first got her, she didn't seem interested in playing at all.
How nice Chloe now fraps with Duncan, I would love to see Lance frap more. He had a great frapping session last week when Marcus wasnt here, it was so fun to watch!!! It had been so long since Lance frapped I forgot he could, lol. The next one I am hoping to catch on video, I so wish I would have caught this one though.
