Is there any meaning of corgis licking each other ears?  Lance from time to time will lick Tuckers ears and I have seen Tucker licking Lances ears.

Tucker usually doesn't mind but tonight seemed unsure of it.  He may have been a little leary tonight, in case Lance was thinking of dominating him again, letting him know ahead of time, no thank you!  His nose was getting a little wrinkly, but didn't make any noise.

Lance was trying to dominate him earlier tonight.  I forgot about that issue since Lance has been sick, it hasn't been much of an issue, but every once in awhile lately has been trying to dominate him.  UGH.  I believe it is out of jealousy too, as it happens when Tucker is near us.

Hi Natalie, My female Gracie licks Toby's and Nickeys ears all the time. They seemed to love it. I imagine its soothing to them, cause their eyes get real heavy. I guess it would be like someone rubbing our backs. But i would like to know if someone knows of any meaning to it. Interesting!

Hope the pup is feeling better and eating.

Many animals perform "grooming" behaviors as a form of social interaction.

I believe it's mostly mutual grooming.  Licking another dog's lips is a sign of submission, but ear-licking is a grooming ritual.  Mine don't groom each other, but they are more "hey we're roommates" than bff.
Wynn used to always clean Mav's ears and kept them very clean. Mav our Weimerainer mix had large droopy ears so we were happy. It was never anything other than a grooming nice thing on Wynn's part:)

My corgi actually licks mine and my wife's ears/  I guess it's normal!

my calico cat regularly licks our tri corgi and if he tries to move away before she's done, she bites him!
