OK, I know this may sound strange but I have 3 corgis that may be a little too skinny! I had Sage to the vet recently(low energy) and she checked out fine. Wynn and Bella also seem a bit thin also. You can feel their ribs but I know they should have a thin coat of muscle that you can feel over their ribs. They don't have worms either but do get plenty of exercise! I feed them Taste of the Wild, a grain free food a handful 3 times per day. I am thinking that feeding them a bit more would be good. Any thoughts?

I actually feed my boys three times a day, it is like they know the time now. 6am, 1pm and 6pm. The 1pm is barely a snack. But LO is still lean and bootsie is losing a little.
more food :)
I am having the same problem with Franklin! I feed Taste of the Wild too. I feed him 3/4 of a cup a day and he went from 30 pounds in July to 26 pounds a few days ago. I used to feed him more but he seemed a bit chunky so I cut back his food. Now I'm at a point where I am going to increase his food by probably 1/8 or 1/4 of a cup a day and keep an eye on his weight. He looks great, feels great, and just had bloodwork done and everything came out perfect so I know it has to do with how much I feed and how much exercise he gets. I think I got so wrapped up in the "corgis are obese" thing that I started to unintentionally under feed him for his energy level. You are probably safe increasing their food a tidge and re-weighing in a month or two and see how they are doing.
I tend to starve poor Jack, too.   But since he's in agility I like to keep him on the thin side, so there is less wear-and-tear on his joints.
I also started using the lamb after Bella got so sick as we thought it was maybe a chicken allergy...never checked the calories! Wonder if that has anything to do with it?
More food at your house...........my boys just bought their airline tickets!!!
Hey Laurie...better yet...my girlfriends husband is flying out  to NCand will be returning to MN Thur. so they can catch a ride all the way to my house:) tell them that I'll even make dessert!
Don't teazzzzzzzze, they are giving me the official corgi stare saying please Mom please....they are even having dessert.  Like either one of my boys can afford and extra 1/8 oz.
Well, I had the vet tech check today and the bison has more protein and a bit more fat so I guess we'll be trying that next and have also increased their portions by about a 1/3 cup per day. I want to stay away from chicken and waterfowl as I still don't know if that was part of Bella's problem or not!
"Winter is coming, the Corgis need a layer of fat to get thru winter." said Yoda.  I gently reminded him that we live in Taiwan with sub-tropical climate, and he needs to come up with better excuses!
Maybe he wants to take a vacation to the cold north:)
Yoda took that as an invitation and he is off to Minnesota!
