He barks at everything and anything , there's not rhyme or reason hes just  very vocal.
My puppy Zeus is 17 weeks old today and he does the same thing and oh my that loud piercing bark drives us all crazy, i also need some help on what to do to stop him :(
corgis are known for barking a lot:) but when teddy was a puppy i taught him not to bark and still dosnt. when he would bark i would clap my hand and say "enough!" and walk out of his sight. i would wait 3-5seconds for him to be quiet and then i would come up to him and say "good boy!" eventually he will learn that excessive barking gets him nothing and being quiet gets him attention. if that dosnt work a spray bottle works great :) when he barks give him a quick squirt and walk away. i have only had to use that once
Thanks Rebbecca, great advice! im going to start this right away we will see what happens. Carly hasnt got this problem unless someone comes to the door then she alert us, but other than that she rather quite unless she wrestling with Frankie.
your welcome:) happy i could help. barking to alert you that someone is at the door is no problem
A can with coins in it to shake when you say no bark helps. My less technical way is to toss a magazine in the vicinity of the barker (not at)..

You do want to put a stop to it.  A barking dog can be hell on neighbors.  You want them to bark when strangers approach, but not for no reason.  Have you asked Wendy Wendt?  I'll bet she could help.

I am so glad that Al & Gwynnie are mostly silent.  Not sure quite how they learned this.

No John i havent ask Wendy yet, although she did warn me he's was very vocal, so she knows. I just know she has so much going on right now, i just thought id throw it out here and see what  i get.

This past weekend we really got sick of it.. he is getting his big boy bark and hollering shut up isnt working.. Thankfull hes not out side much  with out us , never if were not home. Fortunately  we can distract him with fun if he gets on a roll with Carly. Neighbors have dogs, except the lady with the boat load of cats.

+1 on the spray bottle. I have one I wrote "bad dog" on ;-) A quick sprtiz with a sharp "No Bark!"

I rarely use it anymore. I just say "No Bark!" & he changes to quiet woofs...

The spray bottle did not phase Sparty at all. I think he liked it, Lol

Caius is quiet at home, aside from a few playful barks when we're playing with him. At the dog park... wow. He will not stop barking. It's almost embarrassing how much he barks while the rest of the dogs are silent. They're not aggressive barks (he's never been that way towards other dogs) but they sound exactly like his playful barks at home, except louder and constant. The only time he'll stop barking at the dog park is when he goes to get a drink!

I'm not sure how to make him stop barking, though. Especially in an area that I cannot control. Some people at the dog park (who are there with me, or witnessing this) have told me, "He's just excited." Few say, "Oh, he's just a puppy. It's okay." I don't think people will be saying that for long once he's not a puppy....

I think they bark at the dog park to get other dogs to run , my Carly does this.... and when a dog takes out after a ball she runs to herd them and it start all over again  when they get back. Your right though its embarrassing, especially since shes the only corgi there and barks so mucht! Who know what Frankie will do , since hes the one that seems to bark at nothing at all... oh boy~~ People will be saying here comes the lady with the loud moth corgis~! hahaha
