Freya has been showing lack of interest in her food at dinner time (and only at dinner time) and has regurgitated/vomited up her food 3 hour or so later after eating her last meal for the day. I say regurgitated as it is still pretty solid--though vomiting may be applicable too. She promptly eats whatever she regurgitates before I can clean it up.
So far, she's done this last night and tonight. Only tonight I was able to fully see just how much she regurgitates, and it looks like it is double the amount of what I give her at any given time. I only give her 1/2 to 2/3 cup of Blue Buffalo Chicken twice a day. Occasionally, she is given a raw hide or treats (grain free only) and outside of her eating something while she's in a backyard--I'm at a loss.
I don't know if there's been diarrhea as she uses the doggy door to go potty. She hasn't changed energy wise and other than food disinterest at dinner time--she doesn't act abnormally.
I plan to not feed her for at least 24 hours and give her water only. No outside access other than with leash in hopes to help her. I'm going to call the vet's office tomorrow too and tell them the same thing (in case they can't fit me in until Saturday.) Um, also her stomach is soft and supple and doesn't feel hard nor seem to cause her discomfort.
I'm hoping it is just a simple case of gastritis but I do understand it could be other things. Does bloat seem like a possibility here? I'm not sure of the signs for intestinal blockage--which is the other reason why I'm putting it out there.
