Freya has been showing lack of interest in her food at dinner time (and only at dinner time) and has regurgitated/vomited up her food 3 hour or so later after eating her last meal for the day. I say regurgitated as it is still pretty solid--though vomiting may be applicable too. She promptly eats whatever she regurgitates before I can clean it up.

So far, she's done this last night and tonight. Only tonight I was able to fully see just how much she regurgitates, and it looks like it is double the amount of what I give her at any given time. I only give her 1/2 to 2/3 cup of Blue Buffalo Chicken twice a day. Occasionally, she is given a raw hide or treats (grain free only) and outside of her eating something while she's in a backyard--I'm at a loss.

I don't know if there's been diarrhea as she uses the doggy door to go potty. She hasn't changed energy wise and other than food disinterest at dinner time--she doesn't act abnormally.

I plan to not feed her for at least 24 hours and give her water only. No outside access other than with leash in hopes to help her. I'm going to call the vet's office tomorrow too and tell them the same thing (in case they can't fit me in until Saturday.) Um, also her stomach is soft and supple and doesn't feel hard nor seem to cause her discomfort.

I'm hoping it is just a simple case of gastritis but I do understand it could be other things. Does bloat seem like a possibility here? I'm not sure of the signs for intestinal blockage--which is the other reason why I'm putting it out there.

I have quit giving my dogs rawhide as they almost always puke...does she eat the whole thing? Is this a different brand? Just a thought.
I have stopped giving her rawhide too... .... cos she eat the whole thing bit by bit and vomit it out later :(
The Vet returned my call and pretty much told me the things I was going to do. He doesn't want me to feed her until at least after 9 pm and it has to be just plain rice. She's restricted to leash walks only to go potty--so no more doggie door until her GI tract is back to normal.

I told him that other than being mopey at dinner time--she's been just as active as any other day sans the tummy issues. I told him about my concern about it being an intestinal blockage, but he said he wasn't as she is still active. He had some concerns of it being megaoesophageous ...or however it is spelled, but being that it happens hours after eating, it doesn't totally sound like it.

Outside of watching water in take, I'm also going to watch for poop to see if that is something to be concerned or not.
As your vet probably told you bloat usually causes lethargy and a distended stomach. She could have a blockage, hopefully it will dislodge. Good luck.
What are the signs of a blockage?

She's my first dog (well other than the ones my mom took care of) so I'm at a loss here. My bf's dog had gastritis and essentially, I'm treating this as such (though she hasn't had diarrhea as far as I know.)
The signs when Misty has had it are, excessive drinking, not eating, vomiting, and eventually showing signs of pain. I don't know if those are classic signs or not. It is just what she had. They can give a medication that may help it pass although it did not work for her. She had surgery.
Well, I have had one poop that started out normal and turned into this weird yellow diarrhea on Friday. She hasn't pooped since--sigh, she also hasn't vomited either. BF thinks it is because she isn't eating much at the moment so that may be the reason. he had also let her out in the backyard on Saturday so there may have been pooping then. I'm not sure if I should call the vet about this yet--she isn't acting any differently.
