@LA Stewart - I love the way your guys love to sleep curled up on each other. Lucy would never allow that. Were they litter mates? They are beautiful. Thanks for sharing the info about seat belts.

My 2 Pems see the harnesses and are excited because they know it means a ride in the car.  Angus will get used to it.  I have used some kind of harness seat belt on my dogs since 1994. I just feel they are safer and I can concentrate on my driving.

Thanks! I worry about stopping short, too, and sending Angus flying. Poor little guy is going to hate this at first but it'll make me happy and he'll get over it. (That's a dog's life, right?)

We use the Guardian Gear Car Harness that we bought online at Petedge.com.  The medium size is only $5.49.  The great thing about this one is the way it hooks into the car seat belt.  (My old dog seat belt had a loop on the back of the harness that the car's seat belt slipped through.  That was difficult with my car's shoulder harnesses.)  This one has a normal harness with a little padding in front.  It has a D ring on the back.  The there is a separate piece that has a swivel hook like on a leash on one end and a metal piece that clips into almost every make of car on the other end.  (Check their write up on the web site for cars it will not fit in.)  The strap is adjustable so you can decide how much room your dog needs.  Because of the way it is designed you can use the harness separately.  The great thing about a seat belt is I feel they are safe when I am driving even if I have to stop fast.  Also, when getting dogs out of the car, I don't have to worry that one or both will bolt out and get hit by traffic.  They stay put.  Then I attach their leashes before I release the seat belt.  Very safe!

LA, Love the car photo. What seat belt harness do you use?

I have been watching Awkward Little Sleepers Club for a while.

Today I just had to share some of my favorite pictures of Wynne and Will.

Here is a picture of my boy Will....

This is a picture of Wynne & Will.

They like to cram themselves in the crate for naps...Lastly, we were driving home after a long trip and they are in the backseat of the car.  They have on their harness seat belts....

When Bacon visits work, he just plops down and becomes "that" cube mate :P

ahh haa. planking is for someone like me that's not athletic, artistic, or particularly talented, but I can lay out on the grass or on a beach. but, no one can lay out on their stomach or back quite like a corgi!

I think corgis are too limber to plank, but if there is ever a flopping or folding up craze, they will be all set.
