I am hoping that we can do it again at Freeport. It is still very far for me, but the location was a super place. I wish we had something that nice in Central Illinois.
I am working with my park district right now to do a Corgi meetup in May here at our local dog park. I am not planning a picnic since there has never been a Corgi event in my area and I am not sure anyone will actually show up. I think our Corgi meetup would be too far for you Cheeseheads. :(
I had planned to go to the IL Corgi Picnic last year, unfortunately the night before I had a family emergency and wasn't able to attend. If it is in Freeport again this year I will plan on going.
September sounds great! We missed last year, but would love to be there this year.
I loved last year's location. I thought it was perfect. I agree cooler is better.
After attending yours last year, I helped organize one in Freeport, Illinois on Sept 11. It would be good to know what date you pick for this year's picnic and then I could suggest to the Illinois Corgi Group to have their picnic a little later. I would not want them on the same date.
You guys should think about attending the one in Freeport if we do it again. It is not that far from Wisconsin. We traveled about 4 hours to get to yours last years.
glad to hear you are going to plan it. are you going to do a raffle for charities also? let me know how i can help you from up here. later
I am planning something. I just have a few phone calls I need to make during the week to make sure everything will be ok. I am planning on something around Mid-September--either the 8th or 15th. Does that sounds like a good date? I am going to be calling the Jefferson City Parks & Rec to ask about the same place we were at last year, but if anyone has another suggestion I can call and ask. I appreciate any input!!
i talked to andea yesterday and she mentioned people have been asking her about a picnic. the one thing we talked about was not having in the dead heat of summer. i told her i was game to come down to one, finally. i hope she puts one on.
I am also hoping to attend the Wisconsin Corgi Picnic. We went last year and it was a blast. It was our first Corgi Picnic. I want to mark my calendar as soon as there is a date so we don't book something else that weekend.
I'm really hoping Molly and I might join in at one of the Corgi Picnics this year. Are there any planned for 2012 yet?
GO PACK GO!!
