Wendy has e-mailed me privately about Rafa's adventures. If she'd written them all out here and included pictures he'd be a legend amongst naughty Corgi puppies, a true Olympian of Corgi mischief. Go Rafa!

i would too. its what we all do here, but wouldn't it be cute to put it in a book with pictures and stories of our silly corgis :-)

I know i need to "capture the moments" more cuz he looks really crazy sometimes, and i think of you all out there and wish if only you could see him now! I will make a definite point to get pictures for you so we all can visually experience the desperado activities! Maybe I should write a book" The Misadventures of Corky the Corgi. Would you read it?

You know, if you feed your dogs pineapple, it tastes good going down, but doesn't taste good in their poop.

Dogs roll in stinky things to mask their own scent... comes from that pack hunting thing... hardly helps even when we know why. Wondering if herding dogs do it to make it easier to sneak up on their charges in the pasture... or maybe they just don't like the shampoo we use. Maybe we should buy Eau de Dead Things scented shampoo.

Hard to get past the whole eating poop thing though. We had a real hard time with Hank early on with a case of giardia and other parasites that took MONTHS to get rid of (some equine antibiotic finally did the trick). We're known as the "poop nazis" in the neighborhood, trying to get people to pick up after their dogs.

All dogs love nasty things, but I think Corgis are the worst! Addy not only rolls in poop, she eats it. The worst is when she picks some up out on one of our walks without me seeing her, smuggles it inside, and starts chowing down leasurly on the couch. Last time she did that I was almost sick!

When she was littler, she also liked to find dead, rotten things and roll in them or bring them inside. It was awful. I'm glad she's largely gotten past that phase.

But, to remind myself of why I put up with such things, all I have to do is look over at Addy curled up in the chair sleeping, with her tail hanging off and her nose twitching now and then. As naughty as they are, its a good thing they are so cute and so sweet, or they might be in trouble!

@Carol and Lisa - most of the time when i catch rafa in crime the last thing i think of is a photo! btw, i rehomed a corgi named corky but renamed him gorki. he was my first corgi, way back when, and i always said when i finally could get a corgi i'd name him gorki because corgis are so gawky looking. corky to gorki was an easy switch. gorki was some dog! i still laugh thinking about him and all his ways.

Lisa B, you gave me such a good laugh!! Thank you, thank you!! our boys just love to roll in anything also. So, do you or Lucy have pictues??? I am sure you bathed Corky instead of taking pictures! (my mother in law had a Corky, always in trouble!)

@Lisa B- I laughed so hard at your story. Corky and Rafa are kindred spirits.
Rafa has now discovered the concrete culvert in the rear corner of our property where all the rain water gets diverted to the bridal trail that abuts our property. The culvert is mud covered and Rafa has decided this is his spot. He comes into the house with caked on mud on all fours and of course the bottom of his body. He too loves to roll in feces: coyote, cat, dog, horse. he isn't picky.
