Well Today is my first day back to a somewhat normal life and I wanted to drop a note of praise and thanks. To start of with I must mention that today is my first day logging in in over three weeks. On March 16th My Boyfriend was in a motorcycle accident. Where he sustained a head injury and a brain bleed. It happened less than a mile from the house and when I got there he was still unconsious. The Praise and Thanks part comes in at this point. I can't help but see the hand of God through the rest of this story. God brought a lot of wonderful and talented medical personel into our lives and guided their hands. GOD also has blessed us with a full recovery. When all of the scary stressful parts of the ordeal were all said and done my boyfriend only fractured bones around both eyes and fractured the bone behind the right eye and the bleeding in his brain stopped on its own. He did not require surgery. I say only because the situation could have been a lot worse! People say he was very lucky, but I choose to believe in God's healing hand and the results of a lot of prayer! The only sad part of this story is with all of the medical bills we will probably not be able to bring our corgi home.

Read the ingredients on the back. Whatever is listed first is the highest content of the food. So if it says "chicken" or "rice" first that's a very good sign. If it's some sort of filler or something you can't pronounce, that's likely a bad sign since you'll have to feed your dog more to give them the same nutritional value as one of higher quality. My Chloe eats NutriSource which was recommended by our vet and our breeder. http://www.nutrisourcedogfood.com Plus it's made in MN, my home state. :)

I put him in a big dog pen in the house..It's our golden retrievers bed! But it fits the corgi really well during the day..I fill his food and water bowls and put in a pee pad and a chew toy..He stays in there from 7 a.m. til about 3 p.m when the kids get home, then he goes in the back yard with the other dog until I get home at 5..After that they come in the house until bed time.
My dog seems to be bored with his food too, it's weird that you said that!
Maybe I'll watch a little more and see if I should change it?

Cookie seems to "get tired" of her food. After a few months of Royal Canin, New Balance, Eukanauba, and a few others, she stops eating it. Right now,we are feeding her...Beneful.

Cookie recently chewed up paperback books, from the coffee table. It was bad because two of them were library books. What do you do with your dog when you are at work?

I use, Royal Canin...I was told that was the best..it makes Brodie's hair super soft also.

It was mentioned to feed "Good" food. What does everyone suggest or what has worked for them? So many people I know use IAMS but I've always just used Purina products. My dad, a vet, says as long as it's a good Name brand. No generics!!!!!! He said they have NO nutritional value whatsoever! But I'm curious what you all use.

I believe BB is Blue Buffalo it has been the best food for my dogs, they just love it. I also use the furminator it is wonderful.

I second Laura K.--diet definitely has a lot to do with it. We feed Juneaux and Max BB, and brush them a couple of times a week, and they hardly shed, even though its hot, hot, hot down here!
