Shedding advice: 1) Feed your pup good dog food! 2) Wash your corgi as needed (for us that's about 4-6 weeks) and 3) Brush as often as you can (at least twice a week).

My Corgi doesn't have an undercoat except on his behind. The rest of him just has one messy coat. I have had dogs all my life and I have never seen such a mess from one dog. I know he is supposed to have the undercoat - but it is just not there. When I had a Collie - he had an undercoat - so I definitely know what one is. I can't bathe him every week because of my health problems.
I do love the little guy though. I don't expect 'no shedding' - but I do think there is an somesort of vitamin mineral deficiency for shedding like this.

Corgis have a thick undercoat that sheds at least 2 x a year. I spray mine with "waterless" bath spray, and then use a good furminator knock-off and comb her every day. It only takes about 1 minute, but it sure helps. They are going to shed no matter what you do. If you don't want shedding, get a Bichon, or a poodle...Naw..just keep the corgi and the hair, and get a good lint brush.

Bobbie,
Grace is 4 months old and I just noticed today how she is shedding. May be puppy coat going bye bye:(((((
But I took her in the car today and had noticed hair all over my pants.
I knew this breed would shed though when I got her. Oh well shes worth the extra hair. Someone forgot to tell God to leave that part out of the doggie! HAHA!

1. Wash your corgi
2. Dry him and brush him with normal wire brush
3. Furminate him with the furminator

Continue to furminate him once a week for maintenance.

I use Shed-Stop liquid - which is very helpfu. I have the medium sized furminator brush/comb which is good. I also feed homemade food. Walker still sheds like crazy, Help!
