I'm so very sorry about that hun. At least you always know that prayer requests for doggies in this group are not only welcomed, they're encouraged! Take care and have a great day!

Unfortunatley I asked how she felt about praying for pets, I guess she disapproves. I felt awkward but another lady a minister's wife prayed with me. I think some people are just so rigid.

When our Chloe pup got into antifreeze this last summer we had our Bible study members praying for her and I don't think any of them thought anything of praying for an animal since they knew how much we cared for her.

Perhaps the look you were given was unintentionally misinterpreted?

That's positive spin not spend.

First I had to look up SIL. Sometimes I feel like I am from the Dark Ages. (Look It Up) The woman who gave you the dirty look, maybe she had indigestion. In the past I have tried to put a positive spend on uncomfortable topics and some people don't want to hear it. I have tried to put a smile on someones face and it may surprise you, that even in a worship setting, some people like to be (SEEN) as miserable or unhappy. They get attention that way. I always believed that more people would want to get to know me and be around me, if I was wearing a smile or had a funny story to tell.

I am glad SIL corgi is fine. Mine would rather eat the snails rather than the bait, but to each his own.

the other day my SIL corgi got into snail bait, so my SIL asked for prayers. . He recovered, but when I went to church that night a woman gave me a dirty look. That made me feel uncomfortable. Has anyone encountered this?

One of our church member has a guide dog, a wonderful GSD who is very well behave, gentle, she sits in the front row, every time we have children's story, the kids just sit around him :) I would definitely love to visit a dog friendly church, I watched a TV segment once and love the idea.
