For some reason I am unable to upload photos to this page. Any tips?

Just back from camping at 4pawskingdom in NC. Last weekend was oktoberfest with activites for the fur kids (sausage bobbing), hiking, swimming in the lake and catered dinner of authentic german foods by the german owners, yum!

Here's a couple of my favorite camping pics, from either side of the Necklace Valley in the Washington Cascades. Can you see why we've been here several times? If you camp high enough, you can escape the bugs, esp. in autumn.
These are 3-day backpacking trips.
Scenery is wasted on dogs; they're just in it for the adventure and extra rations.
It was warm that night, no tent, but I threw my jacket over Al. Checking on him in the middle of the night, I found he'd wormed his way deep into a sleeve and was stuck there like a sausage.

We love to take our three year old sable "Duchess" caming at 4pawskingdom in North Caroline. Check out the website, it is for adults and their fur kids with lots of activites for both! We have been twice and love it! We don't have a camper but they rent out cabins and trailers.

I told my husbandthat what John and his corgis do make it clear that rest of us are just "camping."

My heart is pounding and I can barely breathe thinking about Al crossing the log. This is definitely serious trekking.

Serious corgi camping.
Pacific Crest Trail, Suiattle River log crossing. This major bridge was wiped out in the massive floods of Oct. 2003. Almost none of the many roads and bridges have been repaired since, so this area is extremely remote. This log is how you get across the Suiattle River on the PCT. 80' long, 2-2.5' diameter, maybe 7' above the raging river.
Many hikers walk blithely across. I shinnied. I belayed the dog, since a fall would be fatal, but this kind of log crossing is a no-brainer for Al, who kept looking back at me from his end of the rope, wondering what all the fuss and delay was about as he nonchalantly strolled across.
There were 3 such log crossings on this trip. On the first, I crossed alone first, then naughty Al broke his stay and crossed unaided as I was getting out the belay gear -- I didn't know whether to congratulate or scold him.
NOTE: we have one of those chest-harness things. I tested it. I lifted Al up in his harness on a rope, and he neatly slipped right out of the harness. It will not hold a vertically-suspended corgi. I have it set up to tether him in the current, should he fall into the fiver.
