My Barney has this habit. He's almost 6 months old, and likes to nip at your pants when you walk, as well as your hands at times while petting. None of these nips are the least bit painful. He does not like to be face to face with humans though. He has never bit anyone in the face, but he does let you know with a bit of a growl...we have started training him about this inappropriate behavior, and he is responding well! My Karma (photo) on the other hand, never nipped, just kissed! You can kiss her nose and all you'll get is a wet one right back!

we went to the dog park tonight and someone said "boy, he is pretty aggressive..."about astro (the black one) because he was nipping at starla's (the red one) heels when she was running. all i said was "yea, they are corgi mixes...." and the lady completely understood!!!!!!!

Wilbur gets very possessive. If I am petting him or he is on my lap and one of my kids tries to pick him up he will give a warning growl or snarl. He also does this if you touch his feet. I am working with him and he has really improved. I think he also doesn't trust my boys, they used to tease him when he was a pup. He is getting more relaxed with age.

My dog bites when we start to play with him. he gets way to excited. When we try to go upstairs he bites your foot because he thinks your leaving him.

Chester only nips when we leave the house. Poor baby doesn't want us to leave him!!!! Sometimes he gets some skin and pinches, but I haven't ever had a problem with him biting or nipping in any other situation, so we haven't bothered to try and train him not to. I figure he's a HERDING dog, he's trying to herd us where HE wants us to go. It's his instinct. I won't take that away from him. He's 12 years old now and I'm not afraid that he'll bite anyone. He's ALWAYS been very friendly, he'll LICK you to death, though!
