I lost my corgi, Langston, 4 weeks ago today on Oct 1 and I'm still devastated.  He was 11 1/2 and seemed to be a healthy, happy corgi with many years ahead.  And around Aug he became very…Continue

It has been 4 weeks today since MaGuire passed.  Some days are better than others.  Sometimes, I talk to him.  I have an outdoor English Shepherd who was given to me a year ago by a friend who didn't want her anymore (or me either).  She makes a good watch dog which I need.  I have to catch myself calling her MaGuire.  I worry I may not be able to find another Corgi.  I miss him especially at bed time as we had a ritual.  I would close the BR door with him in the hall, hide the dog biscuit (cookie) between his folded up blanket, then let him in the room to find it.  Sometimes, it took him a while and others, he found it right away.  And the blanket ended up all over the place with him in it.  He was such a pill and I use to tell him that a lot.  Ok, enough of this!!  Thanks for letting me tell more about him.  I seem to want to talk about him all the time, but I don't want to bother people with my thoughts.  Time to go look at pictures of Corgis and think positive thoughts!!!

I lost my Shania Aug 20 she was given a clean bill of health in June. She seemed to be fine until we found a lump and she went down hill fast. She passed in Aug of agressive lyphoma. I was devastated and so depressed cried all the time. I will love her forever she lives within my heart.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It's so hard to lose them. My old guy Stumpy's has had his cancer return.

Wow Sharon! She went so quickly! So sorry and glad you have reached the point where you can write about it. She looks like she was a beauty.

Connie, I'm so sorry that you've lost your pal, Langston. That's a great name, by the way, it sounds very Corgi. Many of us here have lost our Corgi pals in the past but can't imagine life without another one so we go on and get another. Each one is special and unique and makes their own imprint on our hearts. I am sure you will always miss Langston but then that's the truest proof of your love for him.

I am soryy for your loss, red and whites seem to be the best, at least my Odie was, I think it is doubly hard to lose one after a long illness. Take care

I am hoping that all the gobblty gook that I have up or downloaded will come out as the picture of Odie and Lucky! My mother had the picture done after Odie died, you will notice that he has a very atrophied head - the artist said to my mother that she was worried about him, my mother replied that she should not worry because he was dead! Typical of my mother. Odies was our special boy, I still morn, 4 1/2 years later. Lucky looked in all our moving boxes as we were moving at the time of Odies passing and he was sure we had packed his friend up.

Awww Jane! That is a shame. Was it a complication from his procedure? Your honorary corgi is welcome here too.
