Terri, I'm so sorry for your loss. My other Corgi, Zorro, died a month before his 2nd birthday. I don't have very many pictures of him. I just lost Chester 4 weeks ago. I'm slowly beginning to feel normal again. (I have to say, thought, that doubling my anti-depressant has helped - with Dr.s approval, of course - and it's just temporary) I found a beautiful Corgi at the local shelter, but he was adopted by Family #1 in line. Which is ok. as long as he has a loving home. Unfortunately, only time will heal the heart. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Our Teegan was only 4 when she left us suddenly a week ago. She was the epitomy of a happy dog. She also loved having her picture taken. We have many wonderful shots of her with all of us to remember her by. I am glad we had her, as much as it hurts for her to be gone, I can't say I would have traded my time with her for anything. She will alway have a special place in our hearts until we meet again on the Rainbow Bridge....

Rhonda, Chester was 13. He had diabetes (for 20 months or so) and had begun to lose the use of his hind legs. He died while I was at work. I didn't do an autopsy, but most likely it was a diabetic related death. He was such a brave boy. Never had a problem with the insulin shots. :o)

Thank you all for the sweet words! I WILL have another Corgi someday. I would have one now if I could afford it. :o) Chester is with his "little brother" Zorro, now. We had a black-headed Tri that died in 2005. Corgis are the VERY best breed. And they have THE BEST Owners!

Cathy, It is so true that although we never forget the ones we have lost the new corgi fills the space very quickly! 12 years is a long time, you were so fortunate to have Sadie such a long time.

cathy when you are up to it please put a pic of cissy up on our group.i believe we owe it to them,i'm sure Barney is lovin' all those ladies up there w/ him.congrads. on your new baby,it really is the best thing for you.they never will replace, but they sure can make new wonderful memories!!

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your pet - I lost my baby in 2008 after 12 years and she was my best friend - I have since gotten a new corgi (Sadie) and she has been filling the empty space that Cissy left - I love Rainbow Bridge - I believe that animals are sometimes our soul mates. so sorry to hear of your loss. what happened to your baby? i am hear to listen if you need someone to talk to.well chester is not alone.barney,buffy and all the other babies that have crossed over are there waiting for him,he is not alone! hugs!!

My beloved Chester crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 1-21-10. He was my soul mate, my baby. I was so blessed to have been his owner..
