Spoiled Rotten Corgis

For all the corgis out there who are doted on by your families, get your own way, and are basically spoiled beyond belief. I would love to hear your stories.

My boss was saying that some airlines are now allowing them to ride in cabin as long as they fit underseat?! Whisper has gone to our favorite little pub (bar) with me. They think she's wonderful and we know she is!

Chepstow says he would love to meet the royal corgi's but he would never take his brother to meet the queen's corgi's. He thinks Tenby would probably slurp at the water bowl or do something else to embarrass him. Chepstow wants to sit next to the bar at the Pub and greet everyone that comes in. Clean up any beer or cider that spills on the floor. Most Pubs in the UK welcome dogs, they just sit under the table while their human chats and downs a pint. Now that the UK has relaxed their quarantine regulations, the dogs just need doggy passports but it is the travel that worries us, 9 hours in cargo is not good for them. I guess we just need to meet some very rich people with their own plane and then the dogs can fly with us. Now that would be spoiled rotten!

I ordered some doggy snacks and goodies from the online store i-pets and their products are great. But half the order was lost. It took some time, but they shipped it all to me. Inside was a little bonus. A nice leather dog collar studded with little dog bones and hearts, with a tag on it that says "spoilt," so of course I HAD to give it to Morgan. I think it funny, I guess my order was the obvious. He is one spoiled dog!

I ran into a corgi at Petsmart last week that was going with her mommy to vacation in the Bahamas! Must be nice! Have a good trip and maybe one day Chepstow can get to England and visit with the Queen's corgis!

What a wonderful trip you have planned. Take heart that these little dogs make devotees where ever they are. Your boys will be fine but watch out, they may be a little standoff-ish when you get home. Pay back is heck. Bon Voyage!

We are leaving this week for a one month vacation in France and England. Due to "dog quarantine rules" we can't take our boys with us. We are already missing them terribly. We have house/pet sitters coming to stay with them. Their every need will be taken care of and they will be as spoiled as ever. I think it is harder on us than them. Our son has a Pub in Bristol, England and Chepstow wants to be a Pub dog so badly.

JUST VISITED GREAT GRANDMA TODAY SHE IS 92 TODAY SO WE SURPRISED HER WITH A VISIT FROM THE CORGIS!!! THEY WERE VERY GOOD AFTER SNIFFING UP EVERY CRUMB ON THE FLOOR, RANSACKING THE CAT FOOD DISHES(B/F I COULD EVEN PICK THEM UP) SPILLING CAT BOWL WATER, DID ALL THEIR CUTE LITTLE CORGI TRICKS FOR HER, SHOOK HER HAND AND I EVEN REMINDED THEM TO SAY GOOD BYE WHICH THEY CAME BACK AND DID! YOU CAN BE SPOILED AND HAVE MANNERS!!!!!

Pengu had somehow mesmerized me into always giving her a little of what I had or a treat EVERY time we walked in the kitchen. Seriously, even though ever thing I read about corgis say they are chow hounds and prone to puppy obesity. I really couldn't stop giving her snacks. Each little piece of bread I would think "after this I am going to cut back on the human food"...then licking the spaghetti plate "after this I'm gonna stop"... she even became more patient and polite around food 'cause she knewit was coming eventually. I finally decided that I don't want her to ever have health issues because of me over-feeding; her especially human food. So I have totally chilled out. Secretly I was scared she wouldn't love me as much without constant treats but she still does!!! Plus she is more willing to do her tricks now that treats aren't a constant..

Corgi's are 150lbs of attitude in a 30lb body. When asked why their legs are soooo short, I reply that it cost extra for legs! (And everyone I've ever met has lived up to that description)

I can't believe what scamps corgis are! :) Gracie is still a puppy but she is so full of the devil. She has absolutely no fear or conscience! :) She always has something on her mind. She really loves to get into the clothes hamper and pull out our dirty clothing. She likes towels too. I assume she will outgrow some of this. She loves attention! :)
