Looking forward to seeing you guys at CORGI-CON.

I canceled the Illinois Corgi Picnic due to the weather.
I wanted to make sure you knew so you did not drive to Freeport on Sunday.
I wrote the statement below and added it to the event's discussion....
Yes, we need to cancel the picnic. :(
The shelter manager wrote me yesterday and again today and stated that it is supposed to rain all weekend and that she just assumed that we would not be having the picnic this weekend. So I wrote and told her that we will cancel.
The weather now says.... Occasional showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers. Temperature rising to near 64 by 10am, then falling to around 56 during the remainder of the day. South wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
So it will be windy as well as wet.
I like Stephanie's idea of sending a donation to Friend's Forever Shelter. I was thinking of doing that myself last night. Then the dog food, treats, and the paper towels I have purchased will go to my local shelter next week.
Sorry, guys. Mother nature did not cooperate this year.

You made that delicious Taffy Apple Salad last year for the Illinois Corgi Picnic.
I am hoping that you are coming again and bringing that salad.
I loved it!

The Illinois Corgi Picnic date is set!
October 14, 2012
See all the details on the main page in the Events column. It is also listed in the discussion forum of the Illinois Corgis page.
Hope to see your Corgis!

here is a Pic of Izzie for you guys!!!!!
Will you come if we meet at Freeport September 11th?
Thanks for the friend invite.
I love the black headed tri Pems like your Izzie. We have 2 red headed tris. Originally, I considered the black headed tri, but they are hard to find!
So, are you thinking of going to the Illinois Corgi Picnic? The new date I heard just today is September 11. Will that work for you? I see you are getting married in October and that means you have little time for yourself. Izzie probably could use a little fun and you can bring Brad & Angel. It would be nice to get to KNOW some of the people on the site.

Check out the above link. It is from Amazon.
Don't know if it works, but I saw this style of dog food bowl before and thought it was a good design. I think those large columns should work. I know you said you had one with sections. I saw some of those as well, but they looked too easy to get around.
Otherwise, have you thought about putting her food in one of those Buster Food Cubes? She would have to roll it around for a while before all the food comes out. (This could be difficult when you have more than one dog.) Here is a link for the Buster Cube. http://furlongspetsupply.com/buster_food_cube.aspx Other companies make similar ideas. That is just the first one I found when I did a search.
