About My Corgi(s):
I have a wonderful 3-year-old Pembroke named Peanut who I rescued, or shall I say he rescued me. He is my second Corgi. My first was a red Pembroke named Pete who died at age 13. He had DM, but what got him was the big C.

We added another Corgi to our family! Tulip was born on March 15, 2009 and came home Memorial Day weekend. It's been a busy and fun filled summer-- having a puppy around, but we're loving it. She is a busy girl, full of energy and goofballness... And best of all Peanut LOVES her. He is so tolerant of her and they play constantly. Which is what we were hoping for. Life is good.

MY HOW THE TIME FLIES. My little Tulip is now 1.

I'm a big girl now

Oh I feel a little sad today. Today was Tulip's last puppy food meal... And in just a month she'll be a year old!! How did that happen?! It seemed like only yesterday she was a little hand full of fluff. Now she's just a big handful.. LOL. I can't remember what it was like before her, she has brought such joy to our family. And Peanut, our 5 year old Corgi, adores her. I just wish they would stay puppies forever.

Ha! I took Bertie to a pet psychic when I first moved up here! She was at the dog food store so we dropped in. She said Bertie wanted me to be more creative! hahahahaha. Well, I just keep an eye on Ethel, I can kind of see when she tenses up and is ready to pounce on some unsuspecting guy (usually when they sniff her for too long or are to in-your-face bouncy).

What do you do about the bossy stuff? I want Ethel to mix well with others, but now I'm very wary. She got into a tussle with a little terrier who actually bit her on the foot and I had to get antibiotics because it was a puncture wound. Some friends invited us over for dinner -- they have an older dog and a 9month old bouncy beagle puppy -- I want to bring the pups, but am concerned. Erg. Ethel. She's a cutie pie, but a devil.

Hey! Happy new year from Lakeside! How are you guys doing? We are all well -- but I have to say that as Ethel has gotten into her 2s, we go to the puppy park less and less -- she's a little too bossy to everyone. Ah well. We have plenty of fun together. The pics of your two are so cute! Now....about a third Corgi....hahahahaha.

I know, my little baby is 16 months -- and Bertie is 5 in May, which makes me...argh. Where does the time go?? We've dropped into the dog park a couple of times in the past few weeks, and it's not been bad. With this rain this week, though -- maybe toward the end of the month? Where's the breeder you've applied to? Good luck with that -- scary, but exciting too.

Ohhhhh, the beagle sounds like a sweetie. Maybe Peanut is like Bertie, not all that interested in expanding the family circle outwardly, but I think inside he likes having the dog company sometimes. Meanwhile, I joined state corgi groups on this website, both the Western Mass and CT groups -- but there doesn't seem to be all that many people in them! We may have to create our own meet up and see who comes (once the mud is gone, that is).
