Has Anyone Gotten Their Calendar?

Posted on December 15, 2011 at 3:39pm 8 Comments

My order from Lulu for the Corgi calendar supposedly shipped November 28, but there's still no sign of it arriving here.  Have others ordered and gotten theirs?  I am so eager to look at it.   Their site isn't easy to navigate, I and can't find any sort of e-mail address or help/chat area.

Is a 2011 calendar planned?

Posted on August 29, 2010 at 1:05pm 5 Comments

I have loved my calendar this year-- I was just adding things for September and looking at the three lovely Wendt Worth corgis. I have one at school and one at home. Will there be one this year?

Madoc is a Good Citizen

Posted on May 8, 2010 at 7:45pm 4 Comments

We had his "exam" today at 3 p.m. and I was delighted that Madoc passed the ten elements. It may have been "by a whisker"-- we need to keep working on heeling and turns. My kids thought our concern about the test was hilarious-- could he rescue a drowning child in a lake? Alert firefighters to a burning building? Vote in the next election? Nevertheless, we are proud of our furbaby!

Question about Interceptor (heart worm preventative)

Posted on January 31, 2010 at 9:37am 5 Comments

I've been wondering for the past few months-- which dose should I give Madoc? He's been on the smaller dose for dogs UP TO 26 pounds. I have a feeling that his weight will always hover around 26 pounds. If your corgi is about 26 to 28 pounds, which dose does your vet recommend and you use? Things on the borderline are troubling! I don't want to use too strong a dose, but naturally I want him protected here in Virginia where mosquitoes can be monsters in the summer. Thanks for any advice!

Hi, Kathryn.

I'd like to apologize for the long delay in accepting your friend request. We've been involved in a lot of projects and next thing you know, it's August and I'm just now getting back on MyCorgi.com.

I'm back to checking in often to keep up with all the fun. Suzie is doing fine and has fully adopted me and Rose...Mostly Rose as she is always with her and I leave every day for work.

We'll post more pics of Suzie soon.

Oh, yes that would be the ultimate B-day present for Madoc a new bro or sis to play with. I love having two of them at a time and I wish I could have more.....

I just noticed your question in our Blog. We got him in WV from Humnbird Corgi. We were originally going to try Dalarno, but WV is actually closer to us than Culpepper. It worked out very well as the littler was born in mid nov when we moved into our new place. Gave us plenty of time to settle in and get through the holidays before bringing him home. :)

Madoc looks a lot like my Penelope did when she was a pup. She's lost a lot of the black on her head and her little white stripe on her forehead. He is super cute, though I guess I am a little biased!

Hi Kathryn,
It's such a relief to know that Shiro is normal size. I read that normal male corgi is 27lb, but he kinda slowed down his growth and everyone else seems bigger. He was the smallest boy in the litterso it's good to know that he's now about the same as Madoc.
He's definitely getting less exercise now, but I try to play at home as much as I can and take him to a small dog park once a week.
I do email Carrie every once in a while. We're planning on sending her a greeting card with Shiro and Santa (check out the new picture).
