Corgi needs forever home

Posted on May 27, 2011 at 1:25pm 7 Comments

Scooby, an adorable Corgi, finds himself in need of a new home. His human companion had to come out of retirement and return to work as a long-distance trucker driver. She is now gone most of the time and Scooby has to stay behind. Their neighbors, Carl and Leira, have been dog-sitting with Scooby, but that isn’t really a good fit. chicken killer

Sat. we were at the stable where I board my horse. I walked up to the restroom and Corie followed me, but when I came out, she was gone, so I figured she had gone back to where my husband was sitting. She wasn't there, so he called her and she came running (she had stayed behind to play with the ranch dogs). As she got closer we could tell she had something in her mouth... it was a dead baby chicken . . . I immediately got rid of the evidence.. bad Corgi!

I don't think any one saw her, at… Continue

Hi JC. I live in Santa Cruz. It's about a ten minute drive to the Aptos dog park. Large and small seperated areas. There is a great group of small dog owners and well behaved dogs. There are even other corgis if the timing is right. We walk the small dogs off leash around the playing fields. Scottsvalley has one but it is dusty. Carmel Beach (off leash) is a terrific beach for dogs.

HeeHee, yeah, if there is water somewhere she WILL find it...and lay in it and roll in it and be happy as can be.

the fence is 4 and a half feet tall, this was the first time he climbed it. I think it was because he was so hungry he had to eat something. He was extremely emaciated but the Humane Society here is a farce and rarely takes in anything else but horses.

The beehive puzzle toy has remained remarkably durable! Still no major catastrophic failure through weeks and months of corgi love. Tough turtle lasted all of 20 minutes. ugh. I think it helps that the hive has no eyes and the bees aren't very "animal" like - no need to kill them.
