I live in Australia. It is extremely rare that I see a Corgi these days. Is it because they are 'out of fashion'? Years ago, the Afghan Hound was the 'in' dog to have. These days you very rarely see an Afghan Hound. I think it is a shame when a dog breed is used as a fashion statement. I think the Corgi is best know as the Queen's dogs. By what I have seen there appears to be more Corgis in the USA than here in Australia. Any idea why they would be so rare these days?

Le-Le had her 3rd birthday yesterday. Tomorrow is her anniversary of being in our family. In 2008 we picked up a very scared, confused corgi, renamed her and now a year later she is ours completely. She loves my husband and gives him big kisses every morning. This from a dog who was so scared of him the 1st month. On the rare occasion that she barks we get so excited to hear her speak. She does make cute funny noises every morning before we start the day.She comes when I call, will sit on…

This year Dudley participated! We've been having some training issues lately plus my husband was in the hospital after the last trial so our training plan got scrapped. Because of all this I didn't get Dudley weaving by the time the trial rolled around, so I didn't plan on running him. The issue we've been working on is Dudley running out of the ring during a run. If Dudley sees what he considers an exit, he takes it. I discussed it with my instructor and we decided that it would be best not to…

Vacation is over and I'm finally recovered from it! My heavens! What a fun time we had. We did the "extended camp". That meant that we could check in on Thursday morning rather than Friday evening. We loaded up the car Wednesday morning. Luckily I'd bought a car top carrier or we wouldn't have had room for the dogs in the car because I seriously overpacked. But it was our first time at camp and I didn't know what we might need so I took everything but the kitchen sink. Packing was fun because…

Okay - it took having this nutty puppy to make me "blog". Swore I never would but hey... you never know what you'll do! I spent today off and on trying to catch that boy with his ears both up - of course, he'd never do it when the camera's around. One of these days I'm going to catch him at the right minute - until then I'll be massaging his ears to get them to stand up all the time.
He's an odd little guy - shine a flashlight in his face and one eye (the dappled one) always flashes…
