Our 7 year old Riley has been taking meds for seizures, and recently diagnosed with diabetes. Two shots insulin per day such an improvement. Any shared experiences most appreciated
Has anyone heard of tongue atrophy in a dog? Sassy has been having panting issues and her tongue is flacid and rolled up in her mouth. The vet is going to put her on prednisone to help slow the progression of the atrophy. She is 11.5 years old.

Ruby the Corgi did not seem especially perturbed after the disappearance of Cassie the Queen of the Universe, who went to meet her maker on the 15th. Admittedly, I did not sit on the floor and weep for half an hour, the way I did when we had to dispatch Walt the Greyhound -- but that was quite a shock, since Walt did not appear to be sick despite being filled…Continue
I'm so sorry you have lost such a good Corgi. It is always hard. When ever possible, I find it helps to get another dog if you can. Puppies are great but rescued adults can work out very well. Good luck.Continue

Allison, I spent a lot of time on MyCorgi.com several years ago when I lost my first 2 Corgis and got Baby Randy. I remember reading about Noodles and you kindly shared recipes for dog appropriate goods for birthdays, etc. with me.
I am so sorry you have lost your precious boy. At one time, I felt like I knew him. Randy is 8 now and I hope I have
several more years with him so I am trying to take very good care of him and his mixed-breed hound sister Reese. If you are young…Continue

Cassie the Corgi left this world the day before yesterday. She was almost 13 years old and had suffered from adrenal cancer (we think: there's some confusion about that) for the past four and a half months. She lived about as long as corgis can be expected to…Continue
Noodles went to heaven yesterday, New Year's Eve. I was able to hold him in my arms until he went to see Jesus. Our hearts are broken. He was the light of our lives for 13.5 years. We will see you again baby boy!
Tis the season to wait half my day outside waiting for a corgo to potty while he gets drenched and remains so for hours. Wondering if anyone can recommend a Corgi-specific raincoat - Amazon links appreciated. Please specify the size you bought.
Butters is ~22 inches long. The problem I'm found is that the sizes that match a dog of such length do not account for the stumps - so there are chest parts that are long…Continue

He is exactly 3 month old today :) been taking him out to potty since he got his shot. hes doing pretty well, although he doesn't seem to be into walk too much. he will walk ONLy with me, with other people he will just flops down right away and refuse to walk. with me that only happen occasionally.
He doesn't seem to care much for other dogs, I notice he tend to play more with females, at least he is not being aggressive to…Continue
One of the reason I love a corgi are their cute little nubs...until when I got him and is reading through articles how to decipher dog body language...... the best way is through their tail..
BUT A CORGI HAS NO TAILLLLL
A lot of those articles, 50% of it rely on tail movement. kinda feeling lost right there lol
I know I have only been with him a little over a week, but it felt way longer than that, I guess the more u get to know him you will be able to tell even without…Continue
So it has been a week since Latte arrives, I am dead tired, but never been happier!
Since This page is not really active I will treat it as a diary that I can look back to one day.
I am an over thinker and tend to worry a lot, atm I worry whether I have been training him well.
Potty train Progress:

I don't know if this page is still active but if anyone remembers me I am the girl asking around about corgi 4 years ago and went on hiatus. Guess What though? After 4 years of waiting and wanting I am finally getting my own corgi!! He will arrive in June at 3 months old, and I am going through research after research. He will be fully vaccinated by then aside the rabies shot but I will take him to the vet anyway, I have several questions as a new parent:
1. Should I take him to…Continue
I visited the message board to see happy stories of Corgis and try to bring my spirits.
Two days ago, in the afternoon, we unexpectedly had to put our Corgi to sleep. He was almost 14 years old. My wife, kids, and I all knew the time was coming but never expected such a turn of events. I work from home and left my office to take a break. Our Corgi, Toby, always lounged by our front door, on the cool tile floor. I noticed that he was panting and breathing quite…Continue
