I do especially like the Cardigans that are mostly white with few different color markings and blue eyes. Like Zeus and Lance (of Natalie Lance and Tucker). Of course, I would never in a million years trade Scout (who I personally think is one of the prettiest pems) for any "ideal" corgi. For Pembrokes, I always pictured a darker red and white as my ideal, and as fate had it, that was not meant for me (at least for my 1st corgi)
Oh, when I said that was my idea of a pefect puppy, I meant it was my favorite Pembroke coat color:P
Awh they are all very precious:)
I think blue merle are my favorites as far as Cardigans go.
If it's a Pembroke, here is the idea of my perfect puppy:
Exactly that color! <3 I LOVE the super blonde red and whites. They melt my heart <3 What I would love though, is if the muzzle was black like this puppy's:
Except a darker, more solid black. With no white on the face! But I am sure that whatever puppy I wind up picking, I will think it is the cutest puppy ever-because he will be my baby <3
She is beautiful, but I have to agree with John. I've always liked the clean simple look of a red or red headed ttri. Don't know why. It seems the merle colors are getting more and more popular in all breeds that you find them in. I had never even sen a blue merle Border Collie and now they're EVERYWHERE. If I were getting a Cardi I might think about a merle as you see very few reds and I've never been attracted to black or mostly black dogs. I have always liked asymmetrical faces though. When I was puppy shopping the last time I found a tri with a very wide white blaze that included one ear. Maybe not to AKC standards, but very cute. Murray has little black eyebrows that go up and down independently and give his face a lot of expression which I love....and he's the good old standard red and white which is my favorite even if it is the most common.
She's beautiful:)
Looks almost like an Aussie with defective legs. :-)
I love blue merle. It's my favorite color. Very flashy.
Yes she is beautiful.
Truly, some of these merles are just astonishing, but part of me wonders if one can be a bit too... flashy, or something... nuthin' wrong with being good-lookin', but you still gotta be a good dog.
Myself, I go for the Mr. Natural look. I'd like a corgi that looks like a miniature coyote (but then it'd have to wear a hunter-safety vest all the time). There is a functional beauty in the natural camouflage.
The traditional corgi face has black mascara that emphasizes the eyes, and a black line along the lip which, emphasizes the mouth and makes them look like they're always grinning, esp. when the muzzle is white. If the face is too flashy and asymmetrical, can it sort of camouflage the smile?
But yeah, that is one gorgeous dog.
