Help!!! Need FOOL-PROOF dog repellent!

Holeeeee Mackerel! I walked in the door from this morning's meeting to find a chewed-up lamp cord scattered all over the living-room floor! Mercifully, Ruby picked the lamp that's plugged into an outlet operated by a switch on the wall. That's all that saved her from being badly hurt or electrocuted.

She's been at large in the house since she learned to work the doggy door and so quit defiling the floors. She has never been a chewer, never been a digger, never been especially…

Chewing on other dogs.

My puppy Charlie is 4 months old. We are dog sitting for a female boston terrier that is staying at our house. They get along great! Just one thing I noticed is the exsessive chewing and bitting he does on her. She doesn't seem to be hurt by it at all, but I am still concerned and don't know what to think of it.

Chew Toys

I asked John to get Kahlan a couple of pig ears and she loves them but I read (on these forums I think I can't recall off hand though) that they can make dogs sick and vomit. Also someone mentioned deer antlers as chews. I looked around and read up a lil on them. If what I read is true about lasting around 6 months and not splintering like bones and being low fat then it is worth the higher initial cost and having to buy them online.

What have you all heard about antler chews…

Molly's chewing problems

Molly is so smart. She around 9 months old now and is just incredibly intelegent. She has learned sit, stay, lay, all the way down, kisses, up, down, got to your room, no bite, and many more. She responds to many numerous comands just while you are talking to her. The one thing we can't get her to stop is chewing up the carpet or my shoes. I can hide my shoes but not the carpet. I hate to have to start kenneling her again, but she is destroying the carpet! She has toys and chewies, and when I… Continue

Eating his Collars

Banzai has always had this tiny bit of a habit of hooking his bottom jaw under his collars and chewing on them. I have probably only seen him do it about 10 times max since I've been putting collars on him. But today I wake up, go into the living room, and spot something chewed up on the floor. I wonder, what on earth it can be since my mom closes off her room from him now? He used to go in there to get things to chew on. Then I realize it's his pretty blue collar.

At first I was… Continue

Weasel biting and butt chewing....aak!

Well the couch issue is turning out pretty well. My funny pup has decided it futile to jump on my couch because he gets put right back on the floor, or worse, in his kennel. He does do it when he is extremely excited however. Here is my current issue, and I would be deeply resolved if I could solve just one of these.

He chews his butt, well, not his butt but the hair on the back of his legs that resembles butt-cheeks. He seems to be starting to become obsessed with it. He is not… Continue

Toofers!

Zephyr lost her first tooth today! Or at least the first one that's noticable, lol. It's one of the front bottom ones. Gives her a cute gap tooth smile! I know this is just the first step into the chewing everything phase, but I'm happy because I think it's a big milestone.

Learning the Ropes

I picked up Roscoe almost two weeks ago, on 03-14-08. So far it's been a lot of fun and a lot of learning for the both of us. When I got him, I was living with my brother in a home with a large fenced backyard, but this past weekend moved to my own apartment. The apartment area itself is pretty big (two story townhome), and we're going out on the leash when he needs to go out to potty.

This is my first inside dog, and my first time dealing with a puppy. So far it hasn't been too bad,… Continue
