Corgi Outing!
It's not been a great summer for dog outings. It's been very rainy here in Pennsylvania, and when it's not muddy it's hot. For the first time in too long, we took the dogs hiking today.
We found a very nice wooded trail near a reservoir.
We were interrupted by ATV's, which I was not thrilled about. Other than that it was a great outing ahead of Hurricane Irene.
The best part, as far as the dogs were concerned, was the water access. Jack just likes to wade.
But Maddie would love to try dock-diving. She swims like a fish and cannonballs right in, while Jack is like the gawky kid hanging out in the shallow end saying "It's all right, really, I'm fine over here..."

John, I have another picture taken right after the one you like where you can see her other paw under the water. I like that one too. It was a slightly overcast day and the fast-action ones have some blur, but the ones of her already in the water are very sharp so I could blow it up a lot.
Bev, yes I got a new camera a little while back. I mucked up the settings though and lost some pics on this trip as a result. Problem is, with the rapid shutter release, I end up with dozens or hundreds of pics when I take them of the dogs. I've gotten more rigorous in deleting the not-as-good ones.

Those are great photos Beth! Did you get a new camera? I have one wader and one swimmer but Izzy doesn't do it as enthusiastically as Maddie. Hope the Hurricane doesn't bother you guys too much.

I really like the first pic especially, of Maddie swimming towards the camera, leaving a wake, and you can see a front paw underwater in the shadow of her head..

We have ATV issues here, too...soooo annoying. Anyways, great pics!!!! Looks like they had a great time!
