Today is a big day to celebrate, Lance would have been 9, if the rainbow bridge didn't call him so soon. He sure brought us lots of joy as well as laughs over the years we had him. My daughter bought this toy for Lance for one of his birthdays a couple years ago. Photo credit to my daughter for taking the top pic of Lance. We all had such a special bond with him, my oldest and Lances birthdays were one day apart. Yesterday was a tough day for her without her buddy/birthday buddy. One of these days I will get a book of Lance made, with all the pics I took over the last 8 1/2 years, I pretty much have his life documented in pictures and of course memories.
Tucker misses his buddy too, but he definitely is soaking up all our love and belly rubs. So if you look closely at both pictures you think they are both Lance, right? Well funny story about the bottom picture, it is actually Tucker :) I don't think any of you would have known if I didn't spill the beans!!! This toy bone made its way downstairs and onto my desk for whatever reason. My oldest didnt wan't Tucker playing with it since it was something she bought with her own money for Lance. I had the bone sitting on my desk out of Tuckers reach. I got up to go do something and forgot to push in my chair, and the next thing I see is Tucker with Lances bone in his mouth!!!!!! lol....so the photographer I am, just had to get some cute shots of Tucker and the bone. Tucker positioned the bone just so all on his own, while I snapped the pics. He is just the cutest along with Lance. I thought it would be cute if we had matching pics with the same toy. After our quick forbidden photo session, I quickly retrieved the toy from Tucker and put it safely out of his reach!! They keep you laughing, don't they! :) No, my daughter doesn't know Tucker had Lances bone. Tucker was very gentle with it. What a naughty boy Tucker is. :) Thank goodness we have him to help us through this tough time and the wonderful corgi freinds, who truly understand what it is like without our best friends. Happy 9th Birthday Lance.....we miss you!!!!
