Worried sick!

Petie is very sick. He has not touched food without vomiting in 2 days. Because of his age ( 13 ) I am worried sick. He has been very stressed for 5 day because of his storm phobia. I took him to the vet yesterday. He wouldn't even drink water. He had x-rays, which were OK. He got anti-anxiety medication ( it's still storming ), and some lamb and rice canned food. He was disinterested in the food last night, but at some when I hand fed him. Sadly, he vomited it shortly afterward. This morning, he drank a little water. It came up five minutes later. Back to the vets. He just got a shot for nausea. He has been eating some ice cubes that I hold for him, and a couple little pieces of canned food. So far he has kept that down over an hour. Keep your fingers crossed. He is very mopey, and not following me around like he usually does. I have another apointment tomorrow ( OMG- it would cost me less to have him treated at my doctor! ). I hope he picks up, and I don't have to use it! My other dog is so jelous, I had to hand feed him some ice cubes too, poor baby. Wish us luck.

I have a rescue who is petrified of storms and won't eat but we've had very little rain so I can only imagine the terror Petie is going through!!! Our thoughts are with you...even if he just keeps the food down a little longer each time would be a good thing...keep on trying!!! Hopefully it's just a bug and he'll bounce back soon! Take Care!
