...his stomach is as tight a s a drum. He is a 3 year-old male, but looks pregnant. Labored movements. He looks so pitiful. He can't go up or down stairs. I have to carry him outside to do his business. Daily diarrhea. Still has appetite though (He's on Wellness Adult). The vet told us to get Zantax, and said to bring him in if he doesn't get better over the weekend, but I can't bare watch him suffer. I wish there was something I could do......

Anyone ran into this?

We got the dreaded call today. Tod has cancer. Cancer that's spreading with crazy speed. The oncologist stated that it spread within 2 months to many internal organs. There's nothing they can do. Tod is taking this whole thing amazingly well. His food tastes seem to change every day, but he stays true to his favorite - chicken:) Our two daughters (15 and 11) are distraught to say the least. They never had to walk through this before. My husband and I are just trying to keep their focus on the 3 wonderful years God has given us with our adopted son Tod, and praying for a miracle of more time with him....By the way Tod is turning 4 in 2 days.

...thank you all for your prayers .... don't stop

I'm so very sorry for the news. You all will be in my prayers. This will be a difficult time for you all. Enjoy Tod's 4th birthday in a couple days and make it extra special. Corgi kisses for Tod.

So sorry for your news. Just give Tod lots of love and enjoy the time he has left.

Hey Natalia--so sorry to hear the bad news.  It must be difficult to have to deal with this, but it sounds like Tod gets much love and care from you and your family, so he is in the best place he can be.  More corgi hugs and prayers for you.

I am so sorry to hear your bad news.  You might look at earthclinic.com as they have information on alternative remedies. I don't know if you will find anything helpful but if you have time, take a look.

Oh no we are sorry to hear the bad news . The whole gang over here has you and Tod in our thoughts and prayers

My heart goes out to you and your family...there are no words to make you feel better.  Cherish the time you have left, and when it's his time for God to call him home, he'll let you know, and we'll all be here crying with you.  Such sad news...:-(

I'm so sorry! Give him all the love you can and he will let you know when it's time to say good bye. Such a beautiful young guy!

There's a book written and illustrated by Warren Hansen called "The Next Place" It might be a good book for your children to read. It's very simple but very good. My brother read this at my dad's funeral.

So sorry to hear your news, that is so unbelievably sad...

Natalia, I am so sorry. Prayers for more time, of course. Tod is beautiful. Prayers for your daughters, too. I know how hard it is.

So sorry to hear the news about Tod. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I work at a vet that practices western medicine, but in this case you may want to consider a holistic vet and see what they might have to offer. Maybe they can offer supplements that may help to slow the cancer. I've read a lot about the cottage cheese and flax see diet (just google cottage cheese and flax seed and you will find it) and how much benefit it has helping slow/treat cancer in both humans and dogs. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Franklin sends corgi kisses your way.
