Yesterday Enzo woke up making a noise through his nose.  It's similar to when he reverse sneezes but seems like he is congested and has difficulty breathing through his nose.  It only starts when he moves around.  The whole morning he wasn't himself minimal eating, no interest in treats or playing.  By the evening it seemed he was back to normal; running and doing tricks.  But in the middle of the evening he seemed to have a hard time breathing through his nose.  Only thing that helped was to have his head elevated. Since we got Enzo we have always been the over-protective parents rushing to the vet for everything.  Other then last night he seems normal this morning with an occasional noise.  Could this just be a cold?  What have you done to treat your Corgi with a cold?

We have been going through the same thing with our female.  She actually had a tooth that was causing a secondary "sinus" infection.  Antibiotics cleared it up.  Good luck!  ^,,^

I'd say just keep an eye on him if he's acting normal today.  If things get worse, then give the Vet's office a call and see what they say.  It could very well just be a cold.

No advice, but I hope Enzo feels better soon. Nothing wrong with being overprotective parents.

Thanks for the advice and support. His attitude, appetite are still normal but his nose is still congested.  For now, we have been having him sit in the bathroom while running a hot shower.  The steam really seems to help him for a few hours and at least sleep through the night.  So tough seeing your dog sick, if only they could talk sometimes.

I would take him to the vet, could be many things, some of which are serious.

I would at least give the vet a call. I don't think dogs really get the typical cold as we think of it in people.

Sounds like one of the respiratory viruses.  If he's acting normally otherwise and eating, I would let it run its course, much like a human cold.  I would keep him calm and avoid having him out in the cold more than necessary for potty breaks.  I would not have him around other dogs as the viruses are contagious.  If you have other dogs in your household, they've already been exposed, so no need to separate them. How long it takes him to get over it depends on his individual immune system response.
