Hey guys!! I suppose this question is geared toward breeders, or anyone with experience with young puppies. I just heard from the breeder who informed me that the litter (including my sweet Piper) seems "under the weather" this week, which he said is normal for five week old puppies. I trust him, but I'm curious to learn what could be going on. Any insight would be great!!

I would ask her what "under the weather" means. I have never had such a thing. I suppose it could be that she is weaning them BUT please ask more questions. They should be playing and having a good time at this age...a whole litter? this sounds strange.
I believe he (breeder) is starting to wean the puppies right now, forgot to mention that. Could that have something to do with it?
I think it's impossible to say what could be wrong without further details from the breeder. I've never heard of entire litters being "under the weather", weaning or not.
I just heard from the breeder and Piper is doing just fine. He said she's catching up in terms of size to her siblings and is full of charm. That's my girl!
