So we're in Kansas, which is Seanna's absolutely favorite place on earth.  My husband's grandparents have a huge ranch out here, and Seanna loves to come and romp in the fields.  Today she was chasing quail, and I am pretty sure she tore her other ACL.  Tonight she won't put any weight on the right rear leg, and is acting like she did when she tore the left one.  The vet's warned us it probably was going to happen, and we made it two years past what they expected....but I was hoping with losing 6 pounds we could keep it from happening.  I feel so bad for her.  We did bring previcoxx in case her left leg got sore running, and my husband has tramadol with him that I can give her....but she can't run in the fields or go on our long nightly walks the rest of the two days.  It's so hard to tell her pleading little brown eyes that I'm doing it for her own good.....sigh.....

Oh Jennifer I am soooo sorry, could she have possibly just overdone it or do you think it's worse????  Please keep us updated!

So sorry to hear. Poor Seanna!

Jane,  I'm pretty sure she tore it, at least a partial tear.  She is only toe-touching.  I gave her a previcoxx and a tramadol hoping she'd be good by this morning, but she's no better.  :-(

Of course, we're in Kansas and won't be home until late Saturday night.  Just like last time, the surgeon is on vacation next week.  We have an appointment with him late Friday, which means surgery won't be until the week after.  I hate to wait two weeks!  Last time we had to do that and she already had arthritis starting.  I have an appointment with my vet Monday in case he wants to sedate her and do the XRays and draw test again on this leg.

I'm thinking of having the TPLO done this time though, so she at least will have one solid, good leg.
