For about a month now Ein's eyes have been tearing up a lot. Any idea what's going on? Allergies? Should I take her to the vet?

She doesn't seem to be in discomfort over it (not pawing at her eyes or anything), but she's starting to get tear stains. Anyone have this happen?

This happens to Buddy all the time. I think its because of his allergies and the vet said not to worry about it too much. I just wipe him down every time we get back from our walks. Has Ein ever had any allergy issues?

My sister's corgi pup, Nala, initially had teary eyes when she picked her up from the breeder. I heard from others saying that it could be the food. And others say it was normal.  However, our corgi, Thio, never had teary eyes or tear stained face. So my sister is currently transitioning Nala on the same puppy kibbles Thio started on and her eyes are getting much much better. Just a thought... I hope Ein's eyes are just fine.

Linus gets this from time to time.  He's been to the vet for it twice (nervous new puppy parents).  He's now a year old and still gets it once or twice a month.  I bought some eye drops just to rinse with when his eye looks goopy/crusty in the corner and that seems to clear it right up.

Wiley has had runny eyes this winter. I wiped the eyes gently with warm water a couple times a day.  That seemed to help but it took a week or so. I also changed her food back to what she had been getting...but  for more reasons than the runny eyes.

Always a good thing to have stuff checked by your vet.  Katie has never had any runny eyes, Max does and it's worse in allergy season so, per our vet, he is on Benadryl from mid August to the first frost.

Kaylee had these symptoms for the first time in January. There have been no food change or real reason for allergies. I washed it for a day, but took her to the vet when I didn't see improvement. They checked from scratches on her eye from twigs, but nothing came up. She got some antibiotic ointment (similar to a gel in consistency) and it cleared up in a week.

hot compresses.  Put wet washcloth in microwave, TEST IT ON YOUR LIPS (can be hot spots), hold over eyes as long as the dog will tolerate.  Labor-intensive, works.  Opens up the tear ducts.

If you haven't turned down your water heater, hot tap water might be hot enough.
