Hey Everyone!
I wasn't sure if this should be put in behavior or health. But here it is. I have one cat who is an indoor/outdoor cat. My dog, along with 3 other dogs in the house, eats the cat feces. They eat it outside, as opposed to the cat box. I was wondering if there was a product I could use, to give my cat, the would have the feces be unappealing to the dogs.
I would try to feed the dogs something, but having 4 dogs, and most of what I have found online wants the dosages to be in sync with the feedings and that would be very costly.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any products that I could use? I have also heard of putting enzymes, or feeding a cat a specific food that would work as well. I have also heard of giving a vitamin supplement to the dogs as well as the powder or tablets for the nonfeces eating.
Any suggestions?
If you could, please post links.

Sorry don't have an answert but mine love kitty poop too:(
Kitty poop is heaven for dogs. Not much you can do to deter it but clean it up, which is usually pretty impossible. If you know for sure that the dogs are eating YOUR cats feces (as opposed to a neighbor cat), you can try adding ForBid to your cats food. Its usually recommended for 5 days, but for a cat I would probably do it longer because you don't know how old some of the feces outside is. I would also make sure I kept up on routine dewormer for all 4 dogs (heartworm prevention includes intestinal dewormer so they may already be covered). ForBid may or may not help since cat poop is so rich. You may also just have to block off the area where the cats are going poop so the dogs don't have access. It really is no big deal as long as everybody is up to date on normal vet care, its just gross for us to see lol.
Yep. Next to earthworms, one of Lucy's favorite snacks. Sigh.
