so i was just wondering if any of your corgis watch television. ein just loves to watch dog whisperer and enjoys seeing just about any dog on the tube. when we watch that show he'll keep his eyes on the dogs and if they run off screen he'll run behind the tv to find them. lol.

he even has a soft spot for commercials with whistling and squeaky sounds in it. he runs to the tv and curiously turns his head from side to side watching. lol. its both funny and sooo cute.

Doug lovesssss TV. He's never ran after dogs on tv though!

Bear doesn't pay much attention to the tv, unless someone rings a doorbell on it.

He does however come running anytime there is sound coming through my laptop.
Atlas loves TV, and barks when he hears a doorbell on the TV.
Earlier this week I was watching It's Me or the Dog and I paused the TV for a little. Tucker started growling - which he really never does and I was trying to figure out what he was bothered by. Turns out I paused the show on a shot of a dog showing his teeth and Tucker was growling at this aggressive dog 'in his living room'.
I saw Lance watching tv for the first time about 6 months ago, I thought it was so cute because I had never seen him do that before, we were watching the animal channel and the leopards happened to be on. Another time before I caught him watching tv, I saw Lance go up to the speaker and put his ear to it, to listen to the wolves that were howling on the animal planet show, I really wish I could have caught that on video, it was just toooooo cute! He was listening pretty closely, titing his head back and forth.
I wish our dog watched tv, but his attention span will have nothing to do with that! lol! Ein sounds adorable!
Jack used to watch tv when he was a puppy, but he quickly lost interest when he realized that nothing from inside the box every came outside the box, and he does not as a rule watch it now. On occasion, a sound will catch his attention. A doorbell, or a dog in distress. However, at Christmastime this past year there was a new animated special on, something about a fatherless deer who thought his dad was a reindeer, and some wolves that were trying to catch him. Something about the animation fascinated Jack, and he watched it for a good ten minutes or so. He didn't get up and go after it, though. He just sorta laid on the couch, following it with his eyes.
Gwenie watch's telly all the time. She barks at any animal she see's.She seems to enjoy the advets with dogs.Gwenie loves the one with the corgi holding a sign! Our vet said dogs can't see telly but she barks very loud at it, she charged it when she saw a Moose! I have seen her sit on the sofa and just watch what ever is on.I wish I had filmed her today a movie had a horse and she went wild barking! Ein is just smart like all corgi's and like telly too!
Mattie does the EXACT same thing... we've watched Marley and Me a few times and she's ALWAYS talking back to Marley and running to the TV to make sure he's out when he's scared of the storms and gets all excited when he wants to play... Even when we watched Beverly Hills Chiuahua and there were the dogs speaking in human, she would bark in response and run up to them --- anyone who says dogs can't see 2-d objects are silly.
Chloe watches TV some of the time, it depends what's on. She loves the sleep aid commercial that has the butterfly floating around. She'll sometimes sit and watch NASCAR, but her all time favorite thing to watch is Star Wars! She goes running to the TV if she hears R2D2 beeping and loves to watch the saber light fights. In fact, here is a picture from her Dogstor page with her sitting watching Star Wars:

In fact, I had it on the TV in the kitchen and she was under my feet while I was trying to do some work. I kept telling her to go lay down, but she wouldn't budge. That's when I realized what had her attention. So, I went and turned it on in the front room and called her in there to watch it. That's when that picture was taken.
It's funny, Ethel couldn't care less about the TV, but Bertie is fascinated by it. Anything with animals makes him bark and jump around -- but what cracks me up is his ability to recognize music. He'll be fast asleep in another room, but if the music for a show or commercial that features an animal starts up, he leaps to his feet and races in! Then he waits for the animals to show up, and starts barking away. Oddly, one commercial that really upsets him is for Optimum (cablevision), with tons of people in brightly colored leotards (they're supposed to be pixels). For some reason, he HATES them. He is particularly fond of the commercials for toilet paper and flea prevention that feature puppies (the ones that sing "ain't no bugs on me" is one of his particular faves).
YES! It's hilarious when doorbells ring, dogs bark, or when other sudden noises happen on tv. Domino perks up and stares!
