My Tenby hates other dogs.  But if a corgi he has never met comes up to him, they are best friends.  He only gets along well with corgi's.  Do they really know their breed!

Funny you should start this topic today. Bear, my oldest will play with anyone - Goldy is bashful and VERY submissive to other dogs. Today at the dog park there was a corgi puppy about 5 months old, she played with him like she plays with Bear!!! I was soo happy. I wonder if they know too....
I wonder if it's eyeball to eyeball (stature). The sense of being alike...they are such intelligent pups!
Rosie was attacked by a large black dog when she was a bit younger. She's always been somewhat fearful, but now she is afraid of dogs that she doesn't know. I've been working with her on it. Anyway when she got to meet another corgi for the first time (there don't seem to be many corgis where I live) she wasn't afraid at all - she was SO happy!

Also, when I put in a dog training DVD to watch she wasn't very interested in it, until a corgi was shown; then she would watch the corgi on tv, then look at herself in the fireplace glass, then back at the corgi on tv. It was so funny! She knows she is a cogi. =)
I have noticed the same thing. My dog LOVES other Corgis. It is very interesting.
