Hello everyone -first I am new to this forum so please forgive any faux paws I might make (yes, spelling mistake was intentional <g>)

I volunteer with a rescue in AR and we just have a couple of corgi's in - something that has not happened before.  I have not seen the pregnant female (red and white I understand) but was the intake person for the second one.  First let me state that I have some experience with corgi's having had the joy of owning two who brightened my life considerably.  But I do not know ALL there is to know about corgi's so have come to this forum to get a few opinions on our second corgi girl.

I believe she is a 'fluffy' and a purebred but would like second opinions please?  She probably has more than the excepted 30% white and if a fluffy, probably not the 'ideal' corgi in looks but her personality is very sweet and she is quite willing to do or try anything you ask of her.  First thing she did was to 'down' for me with her head on my foot - which of course, melted my heart right away!!

Please forgive the pictures - she is at the groomers as we speak - they thought she was a purebred too btw.  I know it's difficult to tell from a frontal picture but if you can give me an idea if I'm on the right track, that would be great.  She will be going to the vet Tuesday for a health check up and possible spay (if she's not already spayed) and then we will be putting her up for adoption.  I want to be able to provide as much info as I can as she was a 'found' rescue - running loose and no one claimed her (who would dump a corgi?  (or any animal) ARRRRGH!!!) and other than what we 'see', we have no background info on her at all.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!!

she's very cute and looks like a fluffy to me =) she prob. be gorgeous after the groomers..Yay....Hope she finds a wonderfull home soon.
Thanks - she sure seems to be a sweetie - I'll post a picture after I get her back tomorrow - they're actually workibg on her after hours as they were booked solid today - such nice people there!!
Yes, definitely a fluffy. Have you sent a courtesy post to National Pem rescue? I ask because she looks (maybe) decently bred (the head is pretty) and a good breeder would definitely remember a fluff with those kind of markings. Any good breeder would want to take her back if possible.
Thank you about the nat'l rescue - do you have a url for them or is it actually national Pem Rescue? I would be glad to send them a post - just didn't know a thing about them.
Oh what a beauty! I have had about 8 rescues and have never had a bad dog! They seem so grateful and loving! Good luck and I hope you contact the rescue Joanna suggested!
I"m beginning to believe that somehow they know we are doing something to 'save' them and respond as you said - so gratefully....now if we could just convince people to be a little nicer to these poor guys that we rescue......

I will try and contact the rescue org - just need to know how to find 'em!
She is beautiful!
Thank you! I think so too - I kind of like that white half face of hers
definitely a beautiful fluffy, she'll look gorgeous when the groomer is done with her (even if they do a bit of trimming). the pembroke welsh corgi club of america has all the regional corgi rescues listed on their site; there don't appear to be any particularly close to AR, but maybe the next closest one could still advise on whether there's a corgi rescue close.
I'll pass on your compliments about our fluffy to her - still unnamed, hopefully a name will come to us that matches her soon!! I sent off an email to Mary Day - hopefully she can suggest someone else to contact regarding the breeder situation. Again, thanks for your help!
What a pretty girl! Best of luck with your new sweetheart.
Thank you! Hopefully she'll find a great home soon!
