Today I took Livvy with me to our other place. My husband was there with our Aussie and I left Livvy there running in the tall grass.FYI...all my dogs are trained to stay in our yard and not to follow the cars.
I received a call from my husband saying Livvy would not leave with him and that I had to come and get her.I did go pick her up. Do you think this is normal? Since I brought her there she expected to stay and that she "needed" to come home with me? It just seems weird to me but maybe not to her????

I remember my daughter - when she was a toddler - refusing to eat breakfast because she wanted "the BLUE bowl!" That's what your story reminded me of. I did not succumb to 'blue bowl' dictates, nor would I have allowed a dog I was in charge of to dictate who chauffeured her home! =) Give in to this, and next she'll be wanting the car keys ...
Corgis can be known to 'pick a favorite'. Ours because we spend a lot of time with them together tend to listen to both of us.. but sometimes they favor the person who takes them out more.. feeds them more.. trains them more... One day I'm the favorite and the next it could be Chris.

It may just have meant you were the favorite that day.. Though I do agree with Renee that even if you're the favorite.. if both dogs belong to both of you.. then they should learn to listen to both of you whether you're the favorite or not lol.

If I'm not the favorite that day and Roxi doesn't want to listen to me.. I go back into training mode on her.
Livvy is my challenge dog! I often wonder if this is from leaving the litter at 7 weeks (I know now,but the breeder said this was better for them...) I am the main trainer and my husband walks and feeds them if I'm gone but I do most of the work. If she does this at home...I just leave her and she waits but she wasn't at home for me to do this time!
I think corgis regularly make a decision on whether to mind or not especially the females. I believe it just did not suit Livvy to go at that moment. Lol.
