Hello! I want to get some fun treats Kirby will like but that will also be good for her, or at least not bad for her. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh and I would love to make her treats but I'm limited on time. I'd rather be playing with her in my down time than cooking :) but if anyone has some quick recipes, please let me know! :)

Beth: Do you find it makes a huge mess as they eat it?
No. I only fill each section of the ice-cube section about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way, so each individual cube is not that big and they just crunch them up and swallow them.

If I were stuffing a Kong or something with the mixture, I'd only feed it on a washable surface.
Ahh, I see. Casey would never eat the entire thing in one go. She'd drop in on the floor, lick at it, kick it around with her feet, lick it some more, and so on until she was finally finished with it, lol.

I do almost the exact same recipe in her Kong, but she only gets it on her dog bed or in her crate which, as you say, are washable. The mess made in those instances is 90% drool though, so we just have nice drool puddles where ever the treat was. That's sort of a universal "Casey" problem, not one relating to frozen treats specifically, lol.
Also you can put peanut butter in kongs and freeze it. It keeps them cool in the summer time and its not too messy :)
Yummy Beth!!! Sounds like a treat I could eat!! : )
I've tried it! They are quite good!
Charlee Bears!
They are only 3 calories each with limited ingredients. The bast place to get them is at Trader Joes, where you get a big bag for only $3. They look like little oyster crackers and every corgi I've met loves them. :)
Mine both like Charlie Bears. We get the egg/cheese variety!
Have you tried Only Natural Pet Store? They have a website...I purchase Riley's treats from them online. Only Natural also sells food and many other things. They are based out of Colorado. I do occasionally make my own.
I feed Gwenie carrots, apples and celery and also for training she loves Crunchy Treats with real berries by Natural Choice its a Nutro product! She love them we ask her do you berries she goes crazy for them. She is training us well. Iam not a good cook and would rather not hurt her tummy.
When we go to Petco in Bend I stock up on the Crunchy Treats w real berries by Natural Choice...Riley loves them too. They smell like blueberries. (You and I must be on the same track.) Frozen chicken tenders from Costco...I bake a dozen or so, keep them (cooked) in the frig, The great part about them you can cook them from frozen state! I also purchase ground chicken, ground turkey and ground beef make into patties, cook and store in freezer (thaw fast). I am really getting lazy in my old age Riley loves most fruit and vegies...especially zuchinni and carrots. He's a Corgi, what don't they like!!!!
I do Charlee Bears from Trader Joe's as a special treat and for training treats (working new tricks or reinforcing old ones or daily commands) I do boiled chicken. You can boil boneless chicken breasts at the beginning of the week and refrigerate them. The best part is the cooking is quick and easy AND you can be playing with Kirby at the same time. On top of that boiled chicken is healthy and won't add much weight so you can use more than you can from store bought treats.
